Somali OstrichThe worst thing...is not energy depletion, economic collapse, conventional war, or the expansion of totalitarian governments. As terrible as these catastrophes would be for us, they can be repaired in a few generations. The one process now going on that will take millions of years to correct is loss of genetic and species diversity by the destruction of natural habitats. This is the folly our descendants are least likely to forgive us.--e.o. wilson
Can't wait for season 2. Too bad you don't like cartoons, Pat.

Belamo and I were discussing Zardoz (and we weren't discussing Sean Connery's bright red underpants)
Couldn't find your discussion with the janky search function, but this is the last thing I said about it:
Rick and Morty's allusions to Cronenberg are also cool.Man, there's soooo much awesomely weird shit in Zardoz. I love the imagery, the dialogue, the cheesy dystopianism and the bizarre boner scene. It's way better than bad.

Oooh
There's a boner scene? I guess Zardoz was back in the heady Liberation days when a top-rating actor like Alan Bates goes fully nude on screen and gay was getting into fashion just like "boy-love" and English academics were funding the Pedophile Information Exchange.
yes you're right. It's worse than janky. It can't even be bothered to search for words like 'Pat' because it's too short or 'common'.![]()
Me and belamo were discussing Zardoz because it introduced Beethovens wonderful 'Dance Symphony' to the masses. (It was another of our discussions talking about Pop Culture is murdering Real Culture.)
Season 2 starts on July 26th!
In some timelines, the first two episodes have already been leaked.

I'm only just getting into it now. It's pretty funny. I love that Sarah chalkie is in it
Season 2 was quite a let down, overall.
Mr. Poopy Butthole was lovely.
And so was the season finale.Good shit.
But Get Schwifty and Interdimensional Cable 2 were awful.
I still love the series. I cling to hope.
Sophomore slump, right?

I binge watched it last week. Very funny and cool stuff going on. Gotta see the season finale today too.
I'm totally smoking a cigarette right now.

Everyone loves the new episode, but I found it from entertaining to a bit boring, to be honest.

Fuck Tammy.
Also the last scene was indeed fucking brutal. Up to now, it seemed Rick was just talking shit when he said he doesnīt care about the kids, though it was just a facade since he was somehow there for them, but after the end of this episode, I have my doubts. Heīs just insane.
Or maybe it's the aftereffects of the brainalyzer?
Actually, I think he's sort of episodic, drifting between moments of caring, and moments of pure desire for szechuan sauce.

Could be.
I guess we have to wait for the rest of the season this summer. It would be really fucked up for them to continue it like the first episode didnīt happen, since it somehow was an Aprilīs Fool.

I hear it is Fantastically funny, yet deep, allegorical, political. It's as deep as the patience and time you can give it. Very multilayered.
