WOW! Just when I thought the world was all about me. I get the court awarding me custody of a baby (9 months now) 4 months ago! Not my son, but he may as well be. Wow, I am beyond in love, as I love this baby, and even his shitty diapers!

Congratulations syoBsUtsuJ ~ It pays off. Born when I was 22, I raised my niece as my own and have been rewarded beyond my dreams. A daughter with a heart of gold who is a wonderful mother to my 3 grandsons. All my best on your new journey.![]()
(She taught me that.)
Lol ... I could care less about my nightlife, but I had to cut down on my hours at work, and surprisingly enough, they don't miraculously elsewhere in my income. I remind myself that others have made it work and with a lot less.
I'm sure it was you who posted a while back about having a spinal tumour. Hope your health is up to coping with a child.
Congratulations, i can remember you posting a while back about "adopting". Adam.
Congratulations - and all the best for the both of you!
Congrats ! Very happy for you.

Just make him change your shitty diapers when you are old and drooling.

Congratulations! They always grow up very fast, so savour their moments as they do the cutest things!
Congratulations, I wish the best for you and your son.![]()

The Three Musketeers... Bashful, Chrisglass, and Ronboy!
duuuude. thats awesome
Wow! he's walking and so not the "drug baby" (special needs) I'd worried that he'd be; he's right on target and ahead of most of his peers! And for those of worried about my cancer: I've been cancer-free for 3 years.
Furthermore, he's been the best thing to ever happen to me (searching for a babysitter aside). I still hurt from my lupus, but he helps me go beyond that and strengthen everything. Lol ... he just turned 12 months a couple of weeks, and yesterday we laughed at his first attempted tantrum (ooo, I shudder to think).
The dad is mad because he got his first garnishment for child support; probably more mad because it took away from his drug money. I've been taking care of his son for 7 months now without any support; it's the county that's going after him, not me.
Are the courts recognizing you as a foster parent? What happened to the biological mother of the child? Your case is interesting as it's not common in our legal system to have courts award custody of a child to non relative. How do you plan to deal with the biological father if he plans to get his life on track in the future and demand custody of his son?
I'm an uncle; my mom wanted custody, but because of her age, arthritis, and lefty syndrome, she asked me to; we all thought it would be short-term, but the dad and mom are totally devoted to pills and heroin.
Congratulations! I don't know how people do it, raising kids. My 7mo old cat is almost more than I can handle.
He was a premie baby, 6 weeks early and addicted to heroin; I got him with a diaper rash that encompassed his pamper! Now he's my sweet, sweet child of mine!
This is the first I've seen this thread. Congratulations. It's great to hear good news.
