Last month was our 20-year anniversary. We don't see each other as much as we used to. I blame his girlfriend, the poor sod.

Give a man religion, and he'll starve praying for a fish.
26 years. Always go for coffee when in the same city. E-mails if need be. Otherwise we can go on mute for a while and then pick up where we left off.
31 years. He and his family are in WA now, so we don't see each other as much as we did. But when we do, it's like we've never been apart. He really is my brother from another mother.
A number of friends who go back 43 to 49 years!

Sadly, I had a lot of falling out with many of my childhood friends. Many of them got heavily involved in drugs and I was lucky enough to not follow them: some of them due to horrible circumstances; others, due to boredom. Longest friendship atm is about 8 years. My "former" hag now lives in Pittsburgh studying for her doctorate and I occasionally text her but it seems like worlds apart.
My childhood best friend is three years younger than me and we've been good buddies since he was a toddler. Or so I have to assume, I don't exactly remember 'meeting' him, he's just always been there! We're still friends and will talk on occasion (once a month or so), but it's not too much. So to answer the question... roughly 18 years?

Well, technically 18 years, but we haven't been in touch in so long, I don't know if I should count that. Of the people I am actively in touch with, the oldest ones are 11-12.
That we are capable only of being what we are, remains our unforgivable sin.

I still keep in touch with people I've known since elementary school. I don't know if I'd still call them friends though, maybe acquaintances. I hate using that word loosely.
55 years - rarely see them anymore even though they only live about 50 miles from me. We do exchange birthday and Christmas card. I hope to rectify the "not seeing" them this year.
My oldest friendship is 33 years. We talk on the phone weekly and see each other infrequently now, as he and his partner have moved from Kansas city to Pennsylvania. I miss him terribly, but our friendship will endure.
45 -35 years, one since I was at school. Keeping in contact is the key .
Around 50 years, I moved to the house where I still live in 1963 and on my first day there I met my friend. He still lives just about a 1/2 mile away(same neighbourhood, different house then where he grew up). We see each other a couple of times a week.
I've known my best friend for 38 years. We met at school when we were 14.
We chat online or by phone every day, meet up at least once a week, and go on holiday together each year.
I had one about about nine years since I graduated high school. She's studying in meds school now. So we mostly just text. Always try to meet up when i have my semester break.
Probably about 11 years and I don't really like him thou.
About 30 years or so. Girl I have known since pre-school. Lost contact after high school, but reconnected a few years ago on facebook. Except for short time in elementary school, we were always in school together.
I may be bad, but I'm perfectly good at it.
I've lost touch with a lot of friends over the years, but my oldest friendship is about 15 years. It's a friend from school, and he still lives out in the small town we're from, but we still email eachother from time to time. I haven't been out there in a few years though.
Twenty two going on twenty three. The friendship I have with myself
Eternal youth and endless life. I'll sacrifice everything and everyone to obtain it
My OLDEST friendship would be with my friend Carly, whom I met in 6th grade, so about 15 years ago. We always get together when we're in the same town.
My BEST friendship is about 11 years old.
My best friend and I have been pals since 1977, when we met as freshmen in high school.
He has been there with me through most of the most turbulent moments of my life.
And I have been there for him too.
He has been with his partner for 21 years, and counting.![]()

My oldest friendship is with my Dad and we interact once a week/month.
Unrelated friendships, about 11 years and we interact every other day...

37 years, and we stay in touch every weekend to this day.
19 years. We chat every now and then, mainly about her mother being a bitch, but that's about it.
21 years. He's my best bud! We see one another weekly.
About 35 years.
56 years - since 1957. Next one - 43years.
this year it will be 16 years - we still meet once or twice every month or so![]()
My oldest friendship is with my pal Scott who I met 50 years ago in 3rd grade. Altho now he's married and has grown children and we live in different states we're still close.
My companion died 5 years ago after 20 years together. We were two peas in a pod and joined at the hip. Goddamn I miss him so much!
The closest friend I have I've known for 15 years. We chat on the phone every day and see each other pretty much every weekend.
I tend to hang on to friends for a long time. Friends from high school still call and visit.
17 years, good friends since we were 5. Can not talk for several months, but talk as if we woke up the next day and nothing happened at all.
Thankful for it!

35 years this September. Friends since birth. I see her all the time and talk/text several times a week. Out parents were friends and got pregnant with us at the same time. We had a third friend as well, but sadly, she died in 2009. Other close friends long term is a girl I met in first grade and we still talk all the time. Also my best college friend with whom I speak regularly as well. So that's 28 years and 17 years, respectively.
Wow, it makes me feel really horrible to say 18 months. I feel like we grew up together though, he's like me with a funny southern accent. We exchange hundreds of texts a month, and we try to hang out at least once a week.
About 30 years.
I have a bestfriend of 10 years. We see each other every weekend, we chat a lot. She is like a sister and a part of our family already. So in every family occasion she's there.
I'm 28 and I have a handful of friends who I've been friends with for 22 and 21 years. So, pretty much my whole life.
My ex bestfriend we was friend for 8 years due to drama and a bunch of other crap we stopped being friends. We used to talk everyday several times a day and hung out almost everyday.
35 years. He lives half a world away, but we email often.

There's nothing that I wouldn't do for him, and there's nothing that he wouldn't do for me.
We've spent most of our lives doing nothing for each other.![]()

Eight years with a guy straight friend. He is not a gay like me, he understands me a lot because his brother is a gay too. He is getting married to a woman she loves for more than 4 years and I am the best man.
