King Krule (aka Archy Marshall) has announced Spring tour dates for 2013, starting at The Garage in London on March 28th.
Gaining favourable comparisons to Edwyn Collins and Morrissey for his lyric-driven post-punk tunes, Marshall’s first single for Rinse records, ‘Rock Bottom’ was released on September 2012 and his debut album is due later this year.
Having received acclaim for his immersive sonic landscapes and a healthy following for his self-titled 2011 EP, the BBC Sound of 2013 nominee has also become known for his incandescent live shows at Pitchfork Live and CMJ last year.
Marshall will bring his biggest tour yet to the UK, France, Belgium and Holland throughout March, April and May.

King Krule- The Noose of Jah City
King Krule now rapping as Edgar The Beatmaker, releases three track EP
King Krule‘s a big hip-hop head, despite being best known as a young London songwriter with an old soul. But a transition to rap was kind of inevitable, and it’s started in earnest with a switch in alias to Edgar The Beatmaker, and the release of Baby London, a three track EP. His accent might remind you of Jamie T, but the cider-drunk London drawl is the only the similarity between the two MCs. Beneath that superficiality lies a scrum of tangled ideas and cast-off thoughts, interspersed with phone calls from cell phone providers. Listen below, via Pigeons and Planes:

King Krule appears on two new tracks ‘You Took You Time’ and ‘Meter, Pale, Tone’ on Mount Kimbie's forthcoming new album, titled ‘Cold Spring Fault Less Youth’ due on 27th May.

King Krule has taken on another moniker, Edgar The Beatmaker, and is making UK hip hop tunes with his mates, as is evident on this Bandcamp page. This one, however, is more akin to his usual fare, delicate piano and a shuffling beat, with his trademark vocal on top: Listen to Edgar the Beatmaker's Feotus
