One of the rules of the thread is that we don't repost images with comments. The problem with complying with that is there are no instructions on how NOT to repost the images. Here is how you do it. For the purposes of illustration I will be using () instead of the square brackets[] that are used.

In the below example you see the code that would be displayed when you used the reply with quote option. For each image that is displayed in a large format you have an (IMG) at the start of the code, and a (/IMG) at the end. All you have to do is remove those tags and the image will only show as the URL to the image.

I always use the Go Advanced option so that I am able to preview how the post will look. That way I can see if I have done anything wrong before I publish a quote.

It's not at all complicated: unless I want to quote a small bit of text, I use the "Reply to thread" button at the bottom of a page, which brings up a nice blank box. There is no need to use the "reply" tags in the actual post, which bring up all the stuff already seen. If someone as computer illiterate (and old) like me can work it out, surely you youngsters can (though paxart is also a mature reader - very encouraging!). Now I click "Post Quick Reply", and there we are - only what I wrote!
