Clinton's doctors discovered the clot Sunday while performing a follow-up exam, her spokesman, Philippe Reines, said. Here is hoping HRC recovers. Blood clots are a bitch to deal with and at her age I cant imagine it becomes easier. She is (as the article points out) the most traveled SoS in US history. I wonder if so many altitude changes helped that along. I was once working in Korea with a working group doing a lot of diving ops and one of the guys dropped out as soon as we hit altitude because of an embolism that did not affect him until the change.... that and I have read of frequent flyer road warriors who have developed clotting issues.

Good Lord this is unbelievable. They talked about it on CNN this morning. They tell you to get up and walk around on long flights so you don't develop a blood clot in your leg. She could very easily have developed a clot in the leg while lying in bed for the past three weeks recovering from the concussion. In which case they would treat you with blood thinners. As someone who has had a concussion in the past...and has developed blood clots while on warfarin sodium (for the last 20 +/- years)..I can guarantee that the answer is never as clear cut for people with predisposition to coagulopathy.

Fox News?)(I've visited those four sources in the past 24 hours, as well as internet news sites, but the latter mostly looking for archives about the Joplin tornado...).
