Sure, it's possible. It's possible he was CIA, it's possible he was Interpol, it's possible he was Greek intelligence, it's possible he faked his death before coming here and assumed an all new name, it's possible he lied about his name.

It's just imho a very fair/reasonable thing to say that the more complicated you need to get in order to keep the persona he presented consistent, the less likely it's genuine.

Point 1: Peoplefinders dot com doesn't charge you anything to find out the city in which a person lives, or his age. You have to pay, though, to get the telephone number and address.

I have used it very many times over the years, and I have drawn up a blank only once (for a real person, that is.)

Point 2: I agree. While I feel hurt, disappointed, and dismayed to learn of Andreus's fakery, I now feel pretty amazed at the complexity of the character that the puppeteer drew up for us. I believe that it shows a man with a most remarkable imagination--a creative genius.

Point 3:Somebody mentioned the pictures. The pictures I saw look very much like the pictures of that Juan-guy--the actor in Mexico, The man in the second picture, in particular, looks exactly like the same man I saw in the pictures "Andreus" sent me.

I have no doubt now that, at the very least, "Andreus" told us a pack of lies.

This is actually quite surprising.

Did no one keep a pic of Andreus that he sent them?

Reverse pic search would categorically prove at least whether he lied about his pics.

Unless you were here when Andreus and Kahil were here, I don't know why you would be overly interested. There were so many threads and so many posts, we couldn't possible explain what all went on. Some people loved the character of Andreus, some hated him. Most fell in between, I would suspect, which means they didn't care much one way or the other.
With your flair for drama, I suspect you would have enjoyed the theather as it unfolded at the time, however.

I said it earlier but I'm a pretty staunch believer in "if it's too good to be true, it probably is." It hasn't really let me down, particularly regarding instinct in situations where the facts can't be validated such as someone claiming to be x y or z over the internet.

Well, you can see what happened here. So just think what would have happened if you had questioned at the time. It would have been ten times as bad. It's been an unpleasant thread all round, but perhaps necessary. Just my opinion.

I know I was alerted in a PM from another jubber, after Andreus disappearance, which made me look at the whole thing in the cold light of day. That's when I began to get sceptical about the story. And it was how this thread started that tipped me over the edge. Perhaps there will be something that turns up that will change my mind?

One real flaw with this site, xbuzzerx, is that they’ve never been real picky when it comes to appointing moderators.

One hothead moderator from Long Island used to follow Andreus around from thread to thread like a little lap dog, protecting him in the background, and taking nips at anyone who challenged Andreus right out in the open forums.

There have been several such ‘packs’ over the years. Most just fuck up other people’s threads with fake flirting and/or flooding them with nonsense – images and the like. Mostly harmless shit, but sometimes they do this to, childishly, censor/hush a thread/topic they don’t like.

But, the Andreus gangs were much more aggressive. Most people would avoid the mess.

One thing that I used to find quite amusing, though, was when he, or one of his ‘followers’ didn’t want a subject talked about, or they were embarrassed by a thread, they would post like crazy in all the other threads and come up with more new threads just to get the thread they didn’t like off the front page. It really was hilarious to watch.

I never knew him, he was gone by the time I joined. I remember Mitri vaguely.

Since I was bored I looked around on this thread, the Garden of Memories, and the 'brothers' last posts.

I've deduced and obtained the following information....

- Andreus died sometime between September 2007 and April 2009

- his name matches that of a photographer on a website

- both he and the photographer claim to have moved between the Boston area and southern Europe

- his brother was born on March 10, 1984

- his brother posted a pic of himself, still visible right now in a 2009 thread

- the style of the black-and-white photo is similar to those the photographer takes

What we can say is either....

- Andreus IS the photographer (unlikely since this is an elderly man and has a professional business) or....

- Andreus copied his name and backstory from the photographer

I think that last statement is almost certain fact because it'd be a startling coincidence for two men with the same name to both be going between Boston and (most likely) Greece, and especially since frankfrank has already searched and proved the rarity of the name.

Is it also possible that....

- Mitri took an image from the very same photographer, and passed it off as himself

If that was true, then, since this was in December 2009, long after Andreus died, then either....

- Andreus and Mitri, independent of each other, and years apart, used the same website (unlikely)

or....

- Andreus and Mitri were one and the same person



The two present JUBbers who can shed more information on the timeline and events are....

The thing is - we WANT the superhumans. We (speaking generically and collectively) want these hot and brilliant figures with a fatal flaw that leads to an early demise. We've got enough run-of-the-mill twinks and aging fat queens, thank you. We want someone larger than life on only a figurative sense. Somebody to make us feel special by gracing us with their presence.

It's perhaps telling that every Scooby Doo unmasking proves to be a Very Special Episode. For those with long memories, even the revelation that NaughtyAngel wasn't a dumb bodybuilder (well, the dumb part was probably accurate), which roughly 90% of JUB guessed to be the case beforehand, became a multi-page thread of shattered promises and stolen photos and confidences betrayed. It became clear to me some time before, so why didn't I stop another guy from building a metaphorical shrine to worship him? Well, would he have believed me? Wouldn't those comments just label me a "hater"? I figured (correctly) that he'd figure it out eventually. And this way, nobody labelled me a shit-stirrer or naysayer. I prefer to keep people's confidences.

WAIT you guys. There was this poster here who stole photos, I believe Elvin was part or the sole person who exposed him. I honest to God do not remember his username but basically he just posted here, would upload pics from time to time, and someone found the originals on facebook or that site realjock
