^Obviously now you're as bored with this non-topic as the rest of us.
^Obviously now you're as bored with this non-topic as the rest of us.
what about radio talk show gig with sandra fluke ?
give me some ideas you have rareboy - you're a creative guy
the reporter is boring
the "coverage" of the president is boring
all true
the subject is scintillating
the idea that the president of the u.s. is not really responsible for sharing information or answering real questions
honestly doesn't that concept bother u
shouldn't there be a more adversarial approach ?
and yes she's not ............. high in the food chain but what evidence have you seen that the press corps is anything but a free lunch crowd
Aaaaaand we're back to Obama eating dog. The reason for the election result in pure crystalized form...
That we are capable only of being what we are, remains our unforgivable sin.

^ What. You thought that Springer would have something new or interesting to add?
I expect that FOX will be back to focussing on the birth certificate again soon.
As usual rareboy has no answers for direct questions
Progressive deflection - SOP
Much like the president
Just cheap shots at jack and the handful (count em on one hand with change) of non cultists
Life on animal farm
As I noted above, everyone is about as bored with the thread premise as the OP, so it looks like it will just degenerate into snide comments about Obama and the usual brisk repartee between the couple of FOX hounds on this forum and the rest of the gang of progressive 'terrorists', as I believe we are currently labelled by Chance.
But if Jack is going to favour us with his cheap shots about Obama eating dog for the next four years, I have no problem with sayin' 'Back atcha Jack'.
What question did the president fail to answer?
You complain bitterly that this president has often preferred digital media and direct interviews with reporters over formal, old-fashioned press conferences to get information out. Then, when he has a formal, old-fashioned press conference, you complain that it is a biased and ineffective communications tool.
I take it, then, that you agree with the president?
The striking failure of this thread - and the point you keep ignoring, chance - is that this "fawning female journalist" you disparage asked one of the most penetrating and insightful questions of the evening.
You are trying to make a point of softball journalism, and the example you cite is the journalistic equivalent of game six of the Mets vs. Astros 1986 National League Championship.
If you want to make a case for journalistic failure, then give us an example of journalistic failure. You are not very persuasive when your evidence demonstrates the fallacy of your (obviously foregone) conclusion.
faux moderation? "everyone" ?
it's interesting that many speak of "we" but when addressed as a group, they get skittish
which is it?
do tell
as for progressive terrorism this is a term not started by I - and it's rampant well as rampant is it can be when delivered by a small yet loud segment of the population - sorta like a small dog yipping (not barking as it cannot be labeled as such) and making a nuisance
this thread is about the lack of accounting that the press provides - their access to the president is so limited - he saw them what 1x in 8 months? tragic
then when they do and there's so much to question - really there is - in the real world not in the progressive fantasy land that exists in smallish places
instead it's "how are you" - kiss kiss
"i've never seen u lose" - blush blush
it's funny
not bill burr stand up funny - check him out he's fucking hilarious
but funny sad
here's bill burr btw
wow - your response has nothing to do with my thread or posts
just in your brain
the brain that starts sentences with "you republicans" and gets worse from there
i think the president should have some accountability - and that press conferences should not be vanity plays
call me crazy
and game 6 of the mets/astros was fucking amazing - down 3-0, comeback win in what i believe was the longest playoff game ever ???
lenny dykstra ??
jesse orosco
bad example rexx - opposite of your point i think
as for persuasive - u have to have an open mind to be persuaded my friend
have yet to see evidence of that
but willing to wait
Chance.
We like you but the thread was silly and people came in and poked you for it.
Because we love you so much![]()
So help me out here.
So what you are saying is that the President held a news conference.
And that this is the one single time over the last 18 months that any journalist has had access to the president?
And there was only one reporter allowed to ask a question?
And at this press conference only one question was allowed by the White House?
And so she was the only journalist who asked a question?
And is this why you and O'Reilly are so fixated on her and her question?
Obama has never been questioned?
Are you serious? Arizona tried to pass a law trying to find out whether Obama is cicrumcised.
What YOU guys don't get is that there have been so outlandish dishonest things coming from the GOP and Romney, that there will be a lasting distrust for the party, probably for years.
Obama's mother has been questioned, his lineage, his nationality, his citizenship, his college education... all these things he has had to prove over and over again, and frankly, the nation is weary of the next "GOP thing" invented to GIT the President.
Now saying that Romney was questioned more than Obama is as out there as you can go. Romney never explained what is income was, why he hid money offshore, what his tax plan was, where his official residence was, what corporations he owned and which ones he retroactively retired from.
Let me tell ya Chance, If Obama said he retroactively resigned from Rev Wright's church, would YOU have gone for that?
Once again, the double standard is completely blind, and in being SO blind it makes one wonder what motivates it to the extent that it exists.
Why are we even dignifying this half-baked sadness with two pages of responses?
That we are capable only of being what we are, remains our unforgivable sin.
- Gene Wolfe
there's a topic that you don't care for
that you don't delve into
it's outside of your purview
it's called the role of the press corps
In america, the job of the press is to challenge not to get to provide pleasure
this woman who i'm sure is wonderful - is an EXAMPLE of the madness of king george
it's a SYMBOL
of something run amok
and "half baked sadness" is not a term anyone gets so next post maybe provide something that fills me or better yet us in
You were doing so well with the rhyme scheme.
But once again...so what you and O'reilly are saying is that this one journalist was the only journalist who has been permitted to ask a question of the President for over 18 months. Wow. And she blew it by trying to blow him? Wow. Did she win a coin toss or something? Because otherwise I'm not sure why the MSM and FOX allowed her to be the only jouranlist allowed to ask the only question at the press conference.
And If I understand correctly...you are saying that all the folks at FOX also aren't journalists because their questions can't be heard while their tongues are firmly planted up the asses of the Republicans they are interviewing? Is that correct?
i have many talentsJUB is just a hobby
it's hard to respond to you ....... as you never respond to a direct question ...... why is that?
then you misrepresent
so it goes so it goes
and it's 8 mos. not 18
and this has nothing to do with Fox - EVERYTHING u post has to do with Fox
a minor obsession it appears and minor is being kind
not sure what fox person you're talking about - i'm sure you're not talking about any of them - i'm sure you don't watch fox
i'm sure that your criticism of fox is all in your head - what you've heard, etc.
so try again
Nope this is me watching FOX.
Of course I check in. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to comment on just how bizarre their perspective is and why conservatives like Frum are saying that it is destroying the Republican party's chances for election.
And usually. like in this thread, where FOX is the generator of the right wing hive mind group think narrative, it is more than relevant to discuss them in the thread.
They have been egregious in misrepresenting the facts and creating a kind of bubble for old white male paranoiacs.O'Reilly had this on to tonite
So no. No Obsession...just relevance to the topic you posted.
I've always thought of u as a clockwork orange type
and u mean the same David Frum who on one hand u quoted (for goodness) but felt it necessary in the next breath to reference his dead mother and how unproud she was of his bush years ? that one? that was lovely btw
and obsession yes - u offer Fox INTO many threads where it doesn't exist
in fact, i will start responding to each of them so buyer beware
as for group think with 85% of the groupthink being progressive terror based i'd say the hive mind etc. is clearly BIG and real on your side of the conversation - MUCH
there's 5 or so non believers - so there is no "group" so you're ........ groping
flailing
w/o facts or reason on your side
back to our favorite "journalist"
i'm thinking a one hour weekly primetime special on msnbc that she co-hosts with al sharpton and they can riff on who loves the president more
it would make for sterling tv ............ for some
5 or so non-believers?
Give us all a break please.
You believe.
You all believe that there is not a single thing that Obama can do that suits you. You believe passionately in the pocketbook Republican cause...to the point where you have offered some of the most ridiculous support for the ridiculous men and women who spent half of this year trying to strangle one another to get the nod as nominee and then spent the rest of it having to defend and support the ridiculous man that no one really wanted as the candidate.
You all belong to a group of about 3 posters on this forum who scoop up every little tidbit from FOX or Breitbarf or Rush and run directly to your computer to post another ridiculous non-story or outright made-up story that demonstrates that your visceral loathing of the president is somehow justified. At the moment, there is nothing of substance...so even a single reporter being a bit of a groupie at the press conference becomes conflated with the right wingers' paranoia about how the entire media world is somehow not doing a responsible job of trying to demolish the president that you all hate so much.
Flailing? Really? Have you been watching the Republican supporters and the right wing media trying to come to grips with the ignominious defeat they have suffered over the last week and a half? Right down to stories like this one? Most are in total denial about the reasons for the loss and are lashing out at one another and their political opposites or anyone that they can think of to blame for rejection of their candidates.
So yeah. You definitely belong to a group.
But relax. There are still four years to go. Don't use up all your wrath at once. And don't swing back around to using me for target practice for your insults and invective. I've had my turn.
How can my response have anything to do with your thread or posts, when you will not tell us what meaning (if any) your thread and posts have?
At first, I thought the point of this thread was to imply the president was having an affair with an unknown pool reported (à la Petraeus), because she tried to brag in front of her fellow reporters that she had known him for years.
Then, you said that the point of this thread was that the press was "cheerleading" and not doing its job. I pointed out that your example of "cheerleading" was anything but, and you now tell me that cheer leading by the press "has nothing to do" with this thread or your posts!
I am back to trying to read between the lines of what insidious message you are trying to send.
Since you will not tell us the meaning behind this (apparently nonsensical) thread, I will conclude that your complaint is that you do not like it when the president has press conferences, and you do not like it when he does not have them.
They seem to be having a hard time rehabilitating the base, now that the leadership has decided that the angry white guy show isn't working anymore. The talking GOP heads and the GOP primary rejects are all acting rather conciliatory, but the base is filing papers of secession with the White House.
It would seem one or the other hasn't gotten the message to stop being an embarrassment.
The GOP now has to figure out how to close Pandora's Box. It's a lot of hate they riled up, and the rank and file have become rather addicted to it.
