It looks like we're going on two years since the last major JUB meet was organized.
What the hell, people?!
Would there be any interest in a Chicago meet?

Li'l Bit would love to do a JUB meet, but his schedule will be absolutely insane for the next year or so. :~(
Recently I heard a 'wise guy' story that I had a party at my home for twenty-five men. It's an interesting story, but I don't know twenty-five men I'd want to invite to a party. ~Joan Crawford
Not totally averse to Chicago. It'll depend on scheduling etc.
Lex
dunno about that. willing to travel though.
one thing about the closet/you don't have to hurry/it will be bad tomorrow/so brother, don't you worry![]()
Chicago meet, hell yeah!!!
There are some times of year I'm simply not available, though. If something like this starts to jell and there are multiple options on dates, I hope I can be kept in the loop on that.
I wish this website had a more user-visible Forum for JUB meets, too. That Forum doesn't even show up on the "Forum" drop-down menu, and it only shows up if ones goes to "Show All Forums" in that menu, and after that the JUB Meets Forum is nearly at the bottom.
I remember when JUB was taken over, and one of the things mentioned by "Mark" was that the website would be taking a more active role in promoting JUB Meets. That's the one thing that seems to be an unfulfilled promise at this point.

Chicago is just a hop and a skip for me so I'd do that (depending on when it was done)...wasn't against the NYC one either but I guess that never came about.![]()

You must have read my mind, because just a day or two ago I was thinking to myself how it's a shame that no European meet-up was on the cards, and then it crossed my mind how nothing was even on the schedule for America for summer 2013, and I even DID think of Chicago (along with New York and California)
Why can't we organise something? The only threads in the Meetup forum are from newbies looking for hookups that rapidly descend into pointless speculation.
My recommendations for regions and JUBbers I expect/demand to attend:
European - Either NW Germany or Netherlands - Corny, geloge, treanir, Seghers, Harke, Paws
British - Either London or Midlands - ULOM, Just:Mills, mitchy, Star-Warrior, redfox70, quasar, Benderboy
East Coast U.S. - NaughtyArousal, loki81, refujiunderground, Criostoir, BostonPirate, + MN 2010 gang
West Coast U.S. - Lefty, Kulindahr, borgunimatrix69, CupidBoy, Jasun, + MN 2010 gang
^ Any of those lineups guaranteed and you can count me in, I don't care about the time or cost.![]()

OK, mayyyybe I could start planning one for Chicago. May usually is a good starting point to decide on a date. Thoughts?
Sure thing! Unless they're instant grits
I keep trying to explain that to US Border Patrol. Each time I leave Toronto after, say, 24-36 hours I'm asked, "you came to Canada for two days?" Well, yes. It's quicker than driving to the dells (popular destination about 200 miles from Chicago.)
And then I'm selected for 'additional screening'.
I wuvs me some snow! Can't wait.
I'll be in Honduras =[
But fret not! Carry on without me.
Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day.
Give a man religion, and he'll starve praying for a fish.
Well you could pick a place no one here has been to like Falfurrias Texas.

Two months to plan?! That's going to be one hell of a lap dance...I promise a naked lap dance on a gargoyle IF we can get it going in Chicago.... I need at least two months heads up though so i can plan....

A JUB meet would be so cool!
I could do Chicago too, depending on dated. Road trip!!!!!
And the Victoria Day long weekend in May would be cool too, cause it's my birthday. Just sayin...

I was thinking in the jub meet thread on the other side of the site about a couple of small(8-12 max) in the New York area which has never surprisingly had one, which frankfrank was enthusiastic about(one in late April, not coinciding with a larger proposed Chicago meet from kevbo) and one in mid September. It would be hosted by myself from Jersey City downtown waterfront overlooking the Hudson and Manhattan. This is only an idea, but if enough interest and I can get my schedule arranged accomodating this I would love to do it. Hotels are cheaper than going into Manhattan and we have a few good ones right in the area ranging from the Grand Hyatt, the Newport Westin, the Doubletree and a Marriott Courtyard within walking distance of each other. I can inquire about group rates if enough people from outside the area are interested, and of course local New Jersey/ New York jubbers would be very strongly encouraged and welcome here!
Best of all, there would be nothing planned from the outset.... whatever interests are most expressed will become part of the venue and we'll walk through large areas of Manhattan and if you want to see a bit of Brooklyn, too...easy commute and fantastic views from the East River. Let's make it our our New York adventure starting off with the wonderful panoramic secenes of the Manhattan Skyline from the Jersey City waterfront!![]()
Wow, that sounds just wonderful too!

Best chance is London a location easily reachable from anywhere since it's the air hub of the planet. Damn the dead spots on this space bar. Fuck you Sony for cheap laptop keyboards.
NJ/NYC sounds great. Love NY in spring. Not sure my medical condition will tolerate a great deal of walking -- but that's my problem to deal with.
^ Oh never fear.
At any JUB meet, you can always count on someone to be just like a sister to you.

I read there was some major drama at the Seattle Meet up
Seattle would work fine...let's just get on with it.
OK, New York has been suggested which means all other suggestions are null and void. When?
Lex
^ I only read about it second-hand here on JUB. I think some of the participants are still around.
Hell, I can walk there.
Lex
Between the drunk house and the Botanical Gardens? Nice.
Lex
You know, they could be tied in to complement each other on successive weeks, with say the NY/NJ one from about Thu-Tue, followed by the Chicago one just two days later on the following Thu-Tue. People could fly from one meet to the next.
And your Jersey City part should bring in loki81 and refuji, and your Brooklyn part should bring in NaughtyArousal.
I realise of course that most people wouldn't be able to spare the time and resources for all that, lol, I'm already doing what I complained about others doing in my previous post - wildly speculating.![]()
I suppose what I'm really trying to do is to figure out something more for myself to do (theoretically) because were I ever to return to the U.S. I certainly wouldn't just go for a weekend. I wish I had more relatives and/or friends over there. I'd like to see places especially in New York and California but I guess I'd feel a bit like a fish out of water, it'd all be a bit overwhelming.
^How about in old York at ulom's pad? Yorkshire pudding here we come!![]()
