I like her music but I just don't love it.
Maybe I should listen to more of her songs![]()
No Kylie thread is complete without this video
Kylie's biggest hit ever so far, #1 in more than 40 countries! And one of my favorite dance songs of all time.
She is quite amazing and a great entertainer. Classy and cool. Her latest album, "The Abbey Road Sessions" is quite an accomplishment and a little gem. You go get it!
OK, who'll admit to remembering this?
Excuse me whilst I go and throw up.![]()
So excited about this thread.
Can't wait for the new album.
I'm glad Never Too Late is included on the album. It's an oldie and one of my favourites.
The greatest electro pop song of all time.
One of my favourite songs. Just brilliant.
Love this song from Aphrodite. Sexy guy in the video too.
This one is so old. I used to play it endlessly at the time. Memories.
Also really, really love this song off Aphrodite
By the way, 25 years ago in this month (October) Kylie was busy recording I Should Be So Lucky
The song, released in December that year would perform extremely well in 1988.
#1 in: Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, UK, & Switzerland.
Year end charts: #5 for Australia (1988) and #3 for UK (1988)
^ I think it was her breakthrough song outside of Australia?
I don't think so, she broke into the US and UK top 10 with The Locomotion which was released before this.
Impossible Princess is my favorite Kylie album, but I'm not one of those snobby Impossible Princess fans who feels that Kylie is some helpless maiden being held captive by Parlophone and forced to make "stupid" music for the albums after IP. Aphrodite and Light Years round out my top three. <3
Here's a cute pic of Madonna performing while wearing a shirt that says Kylie Minogue
![]()
And let's not forget this song boys
Classic Kylie.
And this is one of my favorite Kylie performances
Epic entrance!
Love it!
I don't know all of Kylie's music, but I do love her. I think that as it stands today my favorite Kylie song is All the Lovers. Just love that song! And the video is great too. Red Blooded Woman is a good one too.
I would like to hear more Kylie tracks as I only really know the singles. I want to hear albums from cover to cover.
Here's the cliff notes for anybody looking to get into Kylie:
Clips and samples from all of her videos in order, except for Timebomb and Flower.
^Everything Spinning Around and onward I just love! I like some of her older stuff too but my favorites start at the Light Years era.
^ I am loving your new avatar![]()
Is there a single out from the new album yet? I guess I'm out of the loop.
Flower is the new single from the Abbey Road Sessions.
A pretty song. I was just looking up the album on amazon and it says that all the tracks are newly recorded with a live orchestra?! I think I just might have to buy the new album!
Her next single will be a remake of On a Night Like This from the Abbey Road Sessions in December. After that she is reportedly going to release a new studio album in 2013.
Fantastic. I can't wait!
Kylie as Cammy from Street Fighter. As a fan of both (Cammy is my favorite Street Fighter character), it's so amazing for me. ^_^
Street Fighter was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. I went through a huge JCVD phase. It was cool watching the movie years later when I knew who Kylie was.
I watched it a couple of months ago after getting into Kylie. For as much shit as that movie and the actors in it get from critics, I liked it and thought Kylie was decent in it. I actually wish she had more screentime.
The store I went to yesterday didn't have it. But I tried! I ended up finding Robbie Williams new album and picked that up in the meantime. I'm going to look again today for The Abbey Road Sessions.
The album is doing better than people predicted. Her fanbase is full of fierce bitches who support her no matter what (myself included). The album is basically a remake of her previous songs and has managed to climb to #7 on the UK itunes store!
So good job bitches!Let's show everyone what we're made of when Queen Kylie releases a new studio album next year.
I could swear I read somewhere that On a Night Like This was the next single, but I can't find it now. I hope I am wrong though because it is also not my favorite single off the album.
And the album debuted at #2 on the UK charts thanks to us fierce bitches.
<high five and blowing kisses gifs needed>
My hubby drove all over town until he found a copy for me (and him- he loves Kylie as much as I do).
Great fucking album!!! It's very jazzy, slow, and some of the tracks are really sexy. It's so far from the Kylie I'm used to. I really can't stress it enough; this album is a MUST!
We listened to it for hours last night. There might have been some sexing going on during the hearing. It's really the type of album you can play while getting it on. TMI?
WE LOVE YOU KYLIE!
Believe it or not, as one of Kylie's biggest fans, I'd never heard Flower before. I can't stop listening to it. It's a great song.
Okay so I don't think Kylie's label will be releasing any more singles from this album as it was sort of a hits album (remakes of previous hits). But I hope I'm wrong. I would love to see the CGYOOMH remake released though.
Also, this album just shows that Kylie is actually a great vocalist. I really love it. This album along with Ellie Goulding's Halcyon are now my favorite albums released this year.
I would type more but CupidBoy's avatar has me distracted (so cute)!!
Thanks Cupidboy!
People magazine often dissappoints me. Pfft. It's a GREAT album.
^As hot as Kylie's dancers are for some reason I was so fixated on her when I saw her live. It was weird. I only dance in public if I'm drunk though so though I have the body of a dancer I don't think I have what it takes yet :P
As for the reviews, most sources gave it a positive review actually. There are only 1-2 exceptions, People Magazine being one of them. People Magazine is kind of stupid and lame though. I still don't understand their voting criteria when they name a "hottest" celeb. It should be called "the celeb who has an upcoming movie to promote and whose publicist actually replied to our request to have him/her on the cover".
I'd consider seeing her live if she toured the USA again, which is weird because I can't say the same for Madonna despite preferring her to Kylie*. So I hope Kylie does do it again someday.
* - It's probably because Kylie made good on her years of promises to tour North America, despite it not being financially worthwhile for her, while Madonna keeps promising Australia that she's coming back on her next tour and then ditching them because it's not worth the money to her.
I am so loving Cupid Boy right now. One of my favourites off Aphrodite (to you CupidBoy as I just realised how this sounds).
Better Than Today is so catchy too.
Anyone know which album Giving You Up is from?
^I was so pissed she never released Aphrodite, Everything is Beautiful, or Illusion as singles![]()
Redsox: Giving You Up is from her Ultimate Kylie compilation.
I fucking love the song Aphrodite. For personal reasons, but <33333 nonetheless. ^_^
^ that's where I've got it. I just thought it might have been from a previous album. Thanks slipintothefog.
