Are they being abducted by aliens? It's not time for the Rapture, that's not for another 10 weeks or so. His last post was about the dread of growing old and he hinted at self-harm. Does anyone know anything?

He's not banned, he's not deleted, he's "inactive". I think that exclusively applies to somebody who tells the mods "I want to take a break from the website - can you turn my account off for a while until I ask you to turn it back on?" I've seen people do it more often on EC (usually around exam time), but it's not unheard of here.
