3.18 at walmart here in south ga if you put it on one of their gift cards. I usually get a card, put about $50 on it and then go get gas.
All I want, ain't no other, we together, I'll remember, sweet love, all night long - All Night / Beyonce.
I didn't go that way - I went straight east to Russellville, Arkansas instead...THENCE northward. I didn't see any prices matching Oklahoma City's 306nine (at one place I saw, with many more below 310). I got 318nine at Kingdom City, Missouri a few hours ago but that was the lowest I ever saw after leaving OK City.
I noticed it's 323nine here, which is VERY strange. Gas prices here in Ill-Noise are NEVER within five cents of the lowest prices that I see in Missouri.

3.89 in Santa Cruz CA this afternoon on my way home...
^
And I was happy to see $3.47....

$3.01 in East Tennessee.
Paid $2.96 on Sunday.
Just checked gas buddy -- $2.94 now
Yeah Jack it never made sense to me that the boonies would have cheaper gas than the cities.... same thing happened in memphis when I lived there.... Millington was always ten cents cheaper at a minimum.
Get ready for it.
The Energy Board of Canada is telling us that because of Hurricane Sandy, the decreased refinery output during this whole event is going to mean short supplies and higher prices as the oil companies seize the opportunity to extract higher prices.
So don't blame the government for this one. They don't control refining capacity.

On average it costs 3x more here than the US average.
It was a total shock for me when I visited a fuck buddy at the military base and he let me fill up my car with the cheap gas.
It always amazes me how Americans think their gas price is high.
Everything is relative Geiri.... you guys subsidize your entire public trans system with your exuberant taxes... we opt to not have a public trans and be fat green house gas contributors....
A lot of the difference in regional gas prices has to do with the taxes involved... if Mass charged nine dollars a gallon which would be similar to European rates then they could easily pay for mass transit and at that price would have plenty of customers....
$3.079 a gallon in Southwest Dallas as of this afternoon.
Favorite comment quote read on Youtube: "My Laptop fell off the back of the boat, and now I have a Dell Rolling in the Deep."
Yup that is the problem with Public trans in the US. What works for Boston or New York or even San fran does not work for CIncinnati and is impossible to be employed in a place like Dallas FT Worth. That is why healthy trans has sprung up around cities that can use it properly...
Europe decided to provide every six inches with a rail stop and now pay hand over foot to maintain and operate that convenience.
I think we have a world record in car ownership here and the usage on public transport is very little (no tubes or trains just buses).
But then again it's a small nation in with big road system (for the population) so the tax needs to be high.
Other than few tunnels we don't have any places where they charge you toll.
Well the state gets like 55% of the total price.
Dropped another nickel here.
Meanwhile, a couple of US Senators are alleging that the refinery shutdowns on the west coast during the summer didn't happen and that the oil companies were pocketing fifty cents per gallon extorted profit....

We're @ $3.19 here in South Carolina...The shit is going back up again...
$3.09 this past weekend. It was down to $2.92 a week or two ago.
After some serious krona-dollar & liter-gallon calculation I have found out that the price here is $7.20 (a gallon)
I guess the price difference isn't as much as is used to be.
It was $2.84/gal locally when I filled up on Sunday.
We bottomed out at $3.17/gallon. It's back up to $3.29.

When I was driving to the cities yesterday, I saw 2.81$ in Rogers, Minnesota.
I gased up at $3.29 today here in Salem, OR.
“And so it goes. And so it goes. And so it goes."
US gallon = 3.78541178 liters
Exchange 1 GBP = 1.60509 USD
It's currently £1.299 per litre, so that gives £4.91724990222 per US gallon, or US$7.89341596021 = US$7.89 per gallon.
It was at £1.379 or $5.22008284462 per gallon = US$8.37868200508 = US$8.38 per gallon at it's peak locally in Yorkshire, UK last year.
No wonder Europeans drive smaller cars.
As harsh as it may sound I think gas is too cheap in the US. The world is around the oil peak and it's the biggest oil consumer in the world so I think it would be a good thing if they started using less of it instead of driving big trucks with "support the troops" bumper stickers on them.
Dirt cheap at 93¢/L.
The analogy's flaw is that American drivers go longer distances.
Also, the asshole Republicons keep defeating bills for expanding rail service, especially the high speed trains.
There is a high-speed railroad in China - 1,200 miles long. Takes 8 hours. Are we a banana republic yet?![]()
Am I right if one gallon costs 3,29$ that one liter is 0,87cents?
that would be 0.66 euro cents.
FUCKING CHEAP in Austria we are currently at 1,45€ or 1,89$ per liter
that would be 7,14$ per gallon
I would drive like a big SUV if I would live in the US xD
They do. It's not that smart to design the infrastructure so people have to rely on cheap gas.
Everybody thinks gas is really expensive today but from a historical point it's probably still pretty cheap. It's gonna be a disaster for some areas more than others once it skyrockets. The end of suburbia you might say (unless we manage to switch completely to alternative energy in time, which I have no faith will happen).
Not sure what you mean about the oil peak. There certainly will be an oil peak; the only question is whether the currently predicted one will match the real one.
Producing more oil domestically may not be that great a thing, either: we should sit on a large amount of reserves against the day the oil peak really comes.

Which is actually pretty sad. I am convinced without motivation we will not develop the require new technology. A declining supply and massive increases in prices to accompany that decline would provide sufficient long term non-party affiliated pressure to accomplish the required research.
Plus the new techniques being developed use ten times more energy to produce the raw crude we desire for everything from plastic to fuel. I don't think that energy being used to create useful energy is being done via clean energy means so we are simply contributing more and more to an environment that is historically geared towards rising temperatures.
All of that aside I paid a clean 2.84 a gallon when I had the truck and car cleaned and filled. I am going to miss these midwest prices when i leave here again.
Well peak or no peak the prices are going up pretty fast and there are no signs of it slowing down. We need to take actions today if we want to have the same life quality decades from now.
We can make new plastic out of old plastic with a new method introduced last year, which will help. We can also make oil out of trash and get about $3.80/gal at the pump, which would reduce imports. For that matter, someone demonstrated making plastic out of (of all things!) leftover corn waste from harvesting (no idea what the price is).
Those will hold off the peak, which will probably not come soon for the simple reason that most of those estimated reserves aren't going to be economically viable ever because the cost of extracting them far exceeds the cost of solar power and other alternatives.

BTW, I like a proposal I saw somewhere (don't even remember if it was online or not): roof all our interstates in urban areas with solar panels. Supposedly it would give enough power to eliminate all coal-burning power plants.

That is exactly what i am talking about. Currently it cost more than pumping crude out of the ground and it uses ten times as much energy to make a gallon of gas from shale oils instead of sweet crude pumped out of a hole in the ground. I am not saying we wont get to using it but I prefer prices continue to rise so pressure is maintained to develop solutions.
