one thing about the closet/you don't have to hurry/it will be bad tomorrow/so brother, don't you worry![]()
I'm as offended as I was when Nicki Minaj let Eminem say the word on Roman's Revenge: not at all.
Meh...
I like Azealia. Not saying she has an excuse to use it...but then again...it's Perez Hilton lol. She gets a pass.
@average joe: i like your style, bro![]()
Well..the shoe...it..kinda..sorta..fits..
I'm one of those people who get overly sensitive when people use derogatory terms, but this didn't bug me and I was surprised to see the backlash she got for it. I mean, maybe it's just me, but I kind of consider her "one of us," if that makes sense. It's easy to see that her connotation for the word wasn't to insult gay people, just Perez.
Not a justification, it's still a disgusting word. But I could care less and I'll still continue to listen to her music.
I'm in love with her music. Could care less about this drama, although she needs media training.
Iggy Azaela comes harder, imo.

Azealia Banks Posts Sales Gains Following Twitter Feuds
The ongoing feud between Azealia Banks and Angel Haze (which then morphed into a*larger spat*between Banks and Perez Hilton over the weekend) has sparked sales gains for Banks over the past week.***
The New York rapper's "1991" EP re-enters Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart at No. 32, posting an 18% sales gain and selling just under 1,000 copies in the week ending Jan. 6, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Meanwhile, Banks' breakout single "212" moved 3,000 downloads last week -- up by 3%.
In total, "1991" has sold 24,000 since its May 2012 release, while "212" has moved 118,000 downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Angel Haze also posted an overall gain for her available songs and "New York" EP; however, the combined sales for all her titles was below 1,000 units for the week.*
Last week, Banks and Haze exchanged insults on Twitter before lobbing hastily prepared diss tracks at one another. On Friday night, Banks then called the openly gay celebrity blogger Hilton a "f---ot," a comment which has since received heavy criticism. Banks' debut album, "Broke with Expensive Taste," is due out in early 2013.

Scary cover for the new Azealia Banks single Yung Rapunxel
The cover for the new single inspired by Madonna's Bedtime Story, no?
The beat is cute. It reminds me of those songs that you hear on the runway at a vogueing competition.

Azealia Banks has released a new cover song. Her version of The Strokes’ ‘Barely Legal’
Just so you guys know, the Official Itunes version of "Yung Repunxel" is being fine tuned and will probably be more commercial.
It will be out next week.

From a new mixtape called Fantasea II: The Second Wave, coming next year . Now where is that album Broke With Expensive Taste???
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO
Azealia Banks has confirmed that her debut album has been delayed by a few more months. Recently scheduled for a release in January, after initially being set for a fall 2012 release, Broke With Expensive Taste will debut in March. Why? Among other reasons, “the label changed their mind,” she says.

Azealia Banks hit the scene like a fire cracker – bursting with noise and hype. The nature of the music business is to be moving constantly with no time for rest. But after some time away, the rapper is rejoining the industry with a new album and a new outlook on the things that formed her work.

Azealia Banks Is Finally Ready To Release The Lead Single From Her Debut LP, Like For Real This Time
Try not to roll your eyes but Azealia Banks is finally ready to release the lead single from never-arriving debut LP Broke With Expensive Taste. The track is called “Wallace” and it’s about, in her own words, “a man with a Rottweiler’s head”. Sounds great. There’s no official release date yet but the rap diva has already filmed the video. So that’s promising.
It’s great that the 23-year-old appears to have pulled herself together but is it too little too late? The hype around Azealia has all but died and she’s now better-known for her seemingly endless Twitter beefs. There’s no denying the femcee’s talent but she has a lot of ground to make up. Particularly when you consider that Iggy Azalea now has a number one hit under her belt. See a behind-the-scenes look at the enfant terrible’s new video in the link...

Controversy-courting NYC rapper Azealia Banks has split from Universal Music Group, according to her Twitter. In one of the extended tweet-tirades that have become her trademark since her 2011 single “212″ elevated her to underground stardom, she declared, “IM ABOUT TO GET OUT OF MY DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THATS THE BIG SURPRISE!!!!!,” fantasized about becoming “the cool indie chick I imagined I would be when I was 14,” and repeatedly compared herself to Celie, the protagonist in The Color Purple.
Heavy Metal And Reflective (Official Music Video) - Azealia Banks

She´s back, guys.

Good job Azealia.![]()
"There’s death on the horizon,

...is her CD EVER coming out, or is Fantasea all we get?
"There’s death on the horizon,
and I’ll run to behold your sacrifice..."
The album is out. I´m on the 1st track now, Idle Delilah and it´s the shittiest thing I´ve heard from her. Fingers crossed for the rest.
Ok, I listened to it and I have no idea why it took 2-3 years and a lot of tracklist changes to come with this piece of shit. The album is really really bad, it has 4-5 good tunes and 3 of them were released in the past 2 years so I´m not sure why they made the album cut. Miss Amor sounds good, it´s definitely one of the next singles.
I think they obsessed so much over doing the anti-mainstream thing that they didn´t pay much attention to the actual songs, but on the production. 4/10
You mind telling us why, and leaving the gurlisms to the gurl threads? Thanks.
I don't think it's the "2nd coming" it was talked up to be - and for someone that doesn't want to be defined as a "LGBT rapper", there is a WHOLE lot of 90's house on here(not that that's a bad thing - some of that is GREAT). I happen to like Idle Delilah, BBD and Miss Amor of the tracks I haven't heard before(although Miss Amor is a re-imagining of something off FANTASEA, but I forget what exactly), and then Heavy Metal And Reflective grew on me, can't stand Yung Rapunxel and 212 and Chasing Time are good, but overplayed. The rest is either flat, uninspired, or more of the same.
FANTASEA is the true Azealia album.. this one should have been left to cook a while longer.
