is anyone else watching this? Emily Vancamp can play a good scary woman.

They should call the show "Vengeance Is Mine, Sayeth Emily Thorne." I really am liking this show. It's "The Count of Monte Cristo" with a modern twist.
I dunno. I dont think the lead actress isnt good enough to carry a series. The whole theme is kinda silly to make an entire primetime show around. It seems like a one-shot summer series like Harper's Island. And I'm not buying the little brother from Gossip Girl as this straight, bad boy.
It seems like the show has to have an endpoint. I mean, in the second episode, she ruined one of the men responsible for what happened to her father. So if she takes down a character every episode or two, by the time the first season is done, all of those responsible should be dead or ruined. Then what?
i dunno. i like it and want to enjoy the ride. i'm not worried about the story continuing.

Well it does say this isn't a story about forgiveness, so I don't see her minding destroying the family whether it costs her the guy or not. Then again, her hooking up with the guy might be part of the plan anyway.
This concept seems to have a limited shelf life. I mean how many people could possibly have been involved with framing her father. It seems like this is a one season show.
I hadn't planned on watching the show but caught the first two episodes over the weekend and enjoyed them.
Thing is, how does the guy she took down in episode 2 not figure out she was involved in his big crash? She tells him to check out the big stock tip, he does, then calls for reassurance and she says go for it in a coy kind of way, then all goes to hell. I don't know about you, but she'd be the first person I'd be looking to have a "conversation" with.
Also, I think if this is a one season show, the lead character will somehow die in the end after revenge is complete. The opening title card scene had a Confucious saying something about revenge and digging TWO graves.
I stayed away from this show but broke down and marathoned it the other day. Now I'm hooked. I HIGHLY recommend. The actress who plays Victoria Grayson is incredible.
It took me a while to warm up to Emily but now I think she is excellent.
Oh yes! It's awesome! I wouldn't want to get on her bad side...
boy this week's episode was loaded. and they killed one of the gay guys.
I agree, this show is excellent. I'm going to be going in withdrawals when it ends.
I tuned into this show because I'm obsessed with Nick Wechsler, only to find that another obsession (Connor Paolo) is also on it. As is William Devane who I'm not obsessed with, but still happy to see.
This week is the first episode I've ever seen, so I'm not sure what's going on. I just wish the one character (Nolan?) would cut his hair. I'm only one episode in, and I'm already tired of going "Oh, hey! Ron Weasley is on this show!"
There are no words. Just the sound of jacking off.
I love it! This week's episode was AMAZING! I want to be like Emily when I grow up!
Holy shit. Sat down the other day and marathon the whole season because a friend of mine said that it was a great show. Love this show now. That Japanese Sensei, Takedo, is a bad ass. I hope that they show a little backstory on who he is, etc.
takedo adds quite an interesting depth to the show. clearly compared to emily, his unswerving and cold view towards vengeance is frightening. i wonder how many skeletons he has packed in his closet. and i love to know more about how he takes emily under his wings.
This show is amazing! just started watching it
How hot is Josh Bowman (Daniel)???
Love this show! Watch it all the time.![]()
I like the show but the last two episodes were all over the place, and I was wondering how many seasons can they keep have Emily getting revenge and never getting cought.
American Horror Story is completely revamping the cast and switching locations
Why is this relevant? It shows that a Series can change while keeping the original mission statement.
The creators actually have an opportunity to do something original.
In the land of Procedural cop shows and Reality TV where the "Stars" do the same thing over and over again, original sounds nice right about now.
They have said if it gets a season 2 it will probably be in a different location but with the same characters. It makes sense to the plot. I hope it gets renewed.
As much as I enjoy the show and like the characters, it's basically a prime time soap opera.
With the basic plot, I agree with so many others, how long can it last after she has had her complete "Revenge"?.
It can't but I don't think there was ever a plan for 7 seasons by anyone lol.
Anyone watch the finale? It was GREAT! I realllllly don't think that Victoria is dead....or maybe it's just wishful thinking.![]()
yes I watched loved the 5 minutes! that music really set the tone..its moving to Sundays in the old DHW spot..

I really loved it, personally.
Let's face it, the first season was cornier than Kansas in August, (and I mean that in a good, campy sort of way...)
But season two seems to be getting right down to business. The writing is tighter, the entire cast looks like they spent the last 6 months working out... (shirtless Jack in the basement of his bar... *major* yum) and even the production values have improved.
No more really bad "green screen" shots or CGI snow...
I think it's gonna be a great season.
Loving this show. I just hope Jack's brother is the one lying on the floor of the ocean...sorry. He just annoys me.
Looks like we are going to see Emily and British guy together next week. Be interesting to find out his backstory.
What on earth is that guy doing who gave Jack's brother that jewelry? First thing I thought was "He will call the cops on him and say he stole it" then I heard him say "There's more where that came from"
What this tells me is he will use this to help him save up for college which to me means this will be a longer storyline that a one time thing.
