Mr. Fingers - Can You Feel it
thank you for this. It's a perfect post for today.

"By The Time I Get To Arizona" was written by Public Enemy's Chuck D in 1991 as a direct reply to Arizona officials, including John McCain and Fife Symington, for rejecting the federal holiday celebrating Martin Luther King Jr.

For the record I'm not a big Lady GaGa fan, but this video came linked to the one that I just posted.
What's more Gay, and makes a Political Statement, than a group of Hot Guys OWNING THE GAY on the National Mall in Washington?

For few who know me outside of JUB, I recently traded my 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback for a 1968 302 Mustang Convertible.
1968, what a turning point year, especially in American History.
And I've really been digging on the music from that era here lately:

I've decided to post the lyrics so you won't have to listen to the music:
Miranda Lambert
this aint my mother's broken heart
I cut my bangs with some rusty kitchen scissors
I screamed his name 'til the neighbors called the cops
I numbed the pain at the expense of my liver
Don't know what I did next, all I know I couldn't stop
Word got around to the barflies and the baptists
My mama's phone started ringin' off the hook
I can hear her now sayin' she ain't gonna have it
Don't matter how you feel, it only matters how you look.
Go and fix your make-up, girl it's just a breaak-up
Run and hide your crazy and start acting like a lady
'Cause I raised you better, gotta keep it together
Even when you fall apart,
But this ain't my Mama's Broken Heart
Wish I could be just a little less dramatic
Like a Kennedy when Camelot went down in flames
Leave it to me to be holdin' the matches
When the firetrucks show up and there's nobody else to blame
Can't get revenge and keep a spotless reputution
Sometimes revenge is a choice you gotta make
My Mama came from a softer generation
Where you get a grip and bite your lip just to save a little face
Go and fix your make-up, girl it's just a break-up
Run and hide your crazy and start actin' like a lady
'Cause I raised you better, gotta keep it together
Even when you fall apart,
But this ain't my Mama's Broken Heart
Powder your nose, Paint your toes
Line your lips and keep 'em closed
Cross your legs and dot your I's
And never let 'em see you cry
Go and fix your make-up, well it's just a break-up
Run and hide your crazy and start actin' like a lady
'Cause I raised you better, gotta keep it together
Even when you fall apart,
Well, this ain't my Mama's Broken Heart

dancing the snow away
and heard this too ............ terrific
I called a help line the other day and loved their choice of music -- just the thing for stressed people on hold till "the next available representative" gets to them:
"Thirty-one* states allow all qualified citizens to carry concealed weapons. In those states, homosexuals should embark on organized efforts to become comfortable with guns, learn to use them safely and carry them. They should set up Pink Pistols task forces, sponsor shooting courses and help homosexuals get licensed to carry. And they should do it in a way that gets as much publicity as possible. "![]()

I now feel disdain for horrible region blocks on the internet.
This is what I want to share with a certain mod but the official music video is not available in the USA so he has to settle for this...
This was our pregame mix back in winter 2009...
PS: I would totally fuck him silly.
I dedicate this song to a member who thinks that they could manipulate my offer of friendship as an inside tract to be able to blow up my cellphone 24/7 to bitch about JUB and CE&P:

^This song comes off as pretentious when taken out of context [it's a song about unrequited love and not the emo undertones that permeate throughout the song] but it masked me from the lostlessness of my middle college years...
^That song was seriously my ring tone for years!
I love All American Rejects!

That song has horrible syncopation which normally I would enjoy if it were implored properly but it is unfortunately a cringe-worthy "trance" track.
If you truly knew me, you would know I am susceptible to compound quadruple meter [or in layman's terms, 12/8 time signature]...
One of my best buddies is having a birthday party tonight.
Karaoke at one of our favorite neighborhood bars in the Oak Cliff part of Dallas, Texas.
He love's Bruno Mars.
So this is my song selection to sing for him tonight:
I'm such a sap for my friends.
I'm just happy that he didn't ask me to pick up the bar tab!![]()

So at the party last night, my "ex" whom I haven't seen in nearly 10 years was there.
Just like when my friends knew, back when he wasn't my ex that he had been sleeping with everyone BUT me, they knew he would be there.
Once "reintroductions" were made I suggested that we all pull up some chairs and have "group therapy."
"Hi, I'm Patrick's ex!"
And for some odd reason, Coldplay comes to mind:
About a dozen of us (including my ex) are off to Sunday Brunch here in in Dallas in a bit.![]()
