I'll be watching. I've already informed just about everyone I know about it. Hopefully they'll be tuning in as well.
Can't wait! ^_^

Well, she is NOT the best selling female artist of all time, but I look forward to her show. There is no DEFINITE best selling female because of Whitney, Celine, Mariah, etc, but I can't wait to see what she has to offer even though I didnt feel her last record. I CANT WAIT!!!!!
Guys don't miss it! I saw the show at Madison square Garden in New york and it was pure magic from beginning to end! Lenny kravitz , David Blaine & even little Lourdes was there. Madonna kicks ass live! This was my seventh time seeing her perform live and each time she gets better. As many of you know the tickets were not cheap and this is a special treat for all of her fans! Enjoy!
Blueboy.
Hope one day she considers doing it.
Madonna is my favorite of all time. I even created a homage page to her in http://www.everythingwillbehere.com/EVERYTHINGILOVE

She just completely skipped my fave songs. Boo. Guess I won't be watching. The only song I like from that list is Music, and I ain't watchin the whole thing just to hear it. What happened to Take A Bow, You'll See, and songs from that era. Its like she skipped that portion of her career when she was HUGE in the U.S. And I'm not talking about popular I mean she was at the TOP of her game.
lol. somebody feels like bitching tonight.
anyways, i have a feeling one of my girlfriends will want to watch this with me. trying to get me into being a Madonna fan. this is the highest grossing tour by a female EVER, so it should be good. and P.S. i think she is th ehighest grossing female singer NOW because of that Confessions album. It's wordwide sales were insane. Mariah only sells in the US, Whitney is dead and so is celine (Vegas act)
so fucking excited!!!!! i saw her 4 times this summer!!!!!!
Well I somewhat agree with MCsNo1Fn.
Madonna has never performed "Take A Bow" on any of her three world tours since the song became her biggest hit of all-time. She seems to have neglected a lot of her most successful tracks such as "Rescue Me," "This Used To Be My Playground" and "The Power Of Goodbye."
Shame ... but I'll definitely be watching the show.

It is a toss up here as play opposite her "show" on PBS they will have a special about the comedian Jackie Gleason.
this local village idiot has never bought into her being a true entertainer. she seems to come across so cold, flat and uninvolved, sort of like just going though a bunch of motions. but then again, this type of "music" had never appealed to moi.![]()

do have yourselves a nice time
happy turkey day to all

I'm supposed be trying to write an essay right now...but I just glimpsed the Forbidden Love part....very nice....something along the lines of what I've been "choreographing" in my head this whole time (I tend to do that with music...being a former dancer)....though I forgot to encorporate Madonna between the men...lol.
Incredible. The show was incredible. I can't believe how good she looks...she's more than two times older than me...fuck. I'm taking up anorexia and working out 6 hours daily.
I can't wait for the DVD to come out! Hopefully with a live CD too.
The announcer person said they're encoring it on Bravo. I'm not sure when. For those of you who missed it.
great concert, what is the name of the first song? is it called I feel love? I can't find it anywhere by Madonna
Wow, that concert great, loved it, loved it, loved it.
Where do i start?
Madonna is almost 50 but her body is ridiculous (in the good way). She must be on the Hally Berry diet lol. Her legs and arms are so toned. How does she do it.
She was wroking the stage and props like a teeanger, showing the young girls how its Done.
I cant give a full commentary because at 8pm DAYBREAK started and unfortunately its good tv and has gotton me hooked so i was flipping back and forth from DAYBREAK and the concert.
The Jump and Forbidden Love sequences were incredible. The slow motion enhaced the performance although the people that were there live couldnt benefit from the slow motion.
The guy with the red mohawk - what a body, i think i counted like 8 abbs not 6.
The guys from the Forbidden Love segment were HOT and i liked the choreography with teh 2 hot lovers and Madonna. It showed that, they want to be together but society says they cant so its hard to remain still and constant. Just wonderful.
The Jump sequence with the hot body guys jumping all over the places fleixing those muscles - damn.
I cannot understand how "Hung Up" and "Sorry" were not HUGE hits. It makes no sense. Those songs rule. I cannot get tired of SORRY nor HUNG UP and i can relate to them.
The Confessions Album really was good.
Lol when the camera panned teh audience did you see all those, 30, 40, 50, and 60 year old men, singing every single word of madonnas songs and i doubt they were all gay.
I wonder if when Britney is 48 like Madonna i will be in the audience like those 50 years old men singing along with Britney. Britney is my girl so im going to be with her all the way baby.
I think Madonna really lieks the gays because the Forbidden love i think that song was for gay men, trying to seek acceptance.
That song spanish lullaby i never knew that was a MAdonna song. That song is HOT. Was it a hit? It should have been. I luv that song.
I liked the Ray of Light and Music throwback.
The entire show was awesome. You go Madonna. I am sure Britney was watching it on TV too while breat feeding Jayden. Inspiration for her big comeback in 2007.
With str8 men, all you need is time.
I missed the first part of the concert (plane was late from Chicago)...
but DAMN she looks freakin GREAT! Fantastic show too!!
-Chris

The show was incredible. Even the slower parts were too awesome. Nobody does it like Madonna. There is nobody out there who can match her in anyway.
I could not stop staring at her arms and legs and ass and torso. HER BODY! My god!!! Does she ever leave the gym?!? She's made me so self-conscious! She's more than twice my age, and look at her!! I've given up eating and I'm hitting the gym six hours a day. No joke.
I do appreciate what Madonna has accomplished and that she is a cultural icon. The concert was an overload for the senses. Too busy all the time. Parts were definately better than others. Glad I didn't pay the big bucks to go in person.

(my bad but the typos in the original were pissing me off)

It's great you're still so supportive of your ex!
After seeing the whole crucifiction part (or at least the part after it televised), I'm not sure what the Christian types were so insulted about. They should have been paying attention to the overly Christian message. I found that part really touching/powerful.
Or was it the two shirtless men briefly hugging in front of the cross?
I'll watch the rest when I'm done procrastinating...
And I don't understand why she'd go up and sing mostly her 80s-early 90s hits. It's the Confessions tour, so it's good she's got lots of Confessions in it. Rather than trying to recreate the same "TOP" she was at, it's time to move on, and try becoming a new "TOP" for at least the people who see the tour (she's the queen of reinvention after all). In some cases, her tour versions are even better than the originals (I know that was the case for some of her last tour's songs for me).
The name of the song is "Future Lovers" off of Madonna's "Confessions" album, though during the live performance she segues into Donna Summer's "I Feel Love," from which Madonna sampled the synthesizer line for "Future Lovers."
My biggest criticism of the show -- and the #1 reason why the big-3 networks are losing viewers to cable TV and DVD -- is that there were way too many commercials. As a result, they sacrificed three numbers -- "Drowned World" (which was the best vocal performance of the entire show), "Paradise," and "Lucky Star." Hopefully, those will be restored for the DVD release.
Watching the show on television confirmed for me was I suspected when I saw it live -- that Madonna lip-synched "Sorry" and "Erotica/You Thrill Me." However, the choreography during both numbers was flawless, and I have always forgiven her for lip-synching at times in order to enhance her physical performance.
The excision of the crucifixion scene was the biggest fucking joke ever. Funny that the "Christian" hypocrites who had a problem with it had nothing to say about Madonna writhing erotically on a stripper pole during "Like A Virgin" while newsreel footage of horse-racing jockeys getting maimed and paralyzed in severe track accidents ran in the background. Also, no complaints from the Christian right about two half-naked men feeling each other up, one with the Star of David painted on his torso, during the performance of "Forbidden Love." And no word from the neo-cons when the camera zoomed in for a close-up during "I Love New York" and, even though they bleeped it, you could totally read Madonna's lips when she says, "You can go suck George Bush's dick!" The most pronounced irony was that during the performance of "Live To Tell," Bible verses of Christ's teachings ran overhead, which few of those who identify themselves as "Christians" seem capable of following. The mentality of the Christian right is the reason why I have lost all hope for the future of the human race -- they are utter morons who hide beyond the veil of religion like the cowards that they are in order to justify their bigotry, hatred and and narrow-mindedness.
Her dancers are HOT! Especially the Filipino guy, "Cloud". Couldn't take my eyes off of him.
Madonna looked great too.
I mentioned this in another thread but I want everyone's opinion. I think NBC did a horrible job and the show came across as flat.
Let me explain. After seeing Blond Ambtion, Girlie Show and Drowned World on HBO, the Confessions Show isn't in the same ballpark.
The HBO shows were live and unedited. They were CONCERTS. The Confessions show on NBC has been edited to death and it didn't feel like a concert at all. It just felt like a long music video. What upsets me the most is you can't hear the crowd at all.
My advice: Download the show from the links people posted here or go to You Tube and watch it song by song.
For example, my favorite part of Confessions is right before LIke a Virgin when the first few bars are played and the crowd goes fucking CRAZY. You don't get that on the NBC show. Also, when she does the awesome dance during Music, you hear the crowd get louder and louder and louder, but on NBC it's as quiet as a church.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna put my tape of Blond Ambition in the VCR and watch the ultimate Madonna show
too many commercials and they left out "drowned world", "paradise" and "lucky star"
The dancers were HOT! Especially Cloud!
I agree with this guy. I also love Madonna, but I felt that this concert sucked. I changed the channel several times durring it. Even the oldies she sung were not presented as well as in the past....The lights and dancers were not soothing to the eye and her costumes were dissapointing. Her other older concerts blew this one away and I cannot see why the networks carried this one. No comparrison to a Cher concert. I never changed the channel ever durring a Cher TV concert......Sorry to be that way, but most people I talked to privately said the same thing......Ugh....(But I still like her)
Holy Prostate Exam Batman! That was AMAZING!!
Thank you Austexfeet. I have no idea where that came from and I didn't want to dignify it with an answer.
I hope everyone enjoyed the "Cofessions Tour". I sure did. There were too many commercials but I guess NBC needed to make extra revenue due to the fact that they paid Madonna millions to air the special. I'm looking forward to the uncensered DVD. I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.
Blueboy369.
Lucky for you, seeing it live on stage
I watched 5 to 10 minutes of the scattered-camera TV version, and thought to myself, "I'm not stoned enough for this."
(Then I thought to myself, "Why did I quit smoking pot?" followed by "Culture Club did a good concert on HBO" and then,"No wonder she doesn't let TV babysit the kids --- look at what's on!" and back to, "I'm not stoned enough for this.")
Although I think the editing at times added to the effect, at times it WAS definitely too much. Nothing wrong with the show itself I assume (at least nothing big...and I won't trade it for any Cher anyway...).
I finally noticed that in this tour (Cloud is hot).
I also liked when Madonna and her dancers dissolved into the stage. That was a cool special effect.
Its probably a trap door and they slide down a shute.
With str8 men, all you need is time.
Yup, they had a lot of neat special effects on that tour. I did see the NBC Special on Wednesday night and when she did La Isla Bonita I thought it was pretty funny when she and her dancers were all smiles and did something like the Conga, marching to the front of the runway with her leading the way...I have to say, it was cheesy and funny, but cheesy and funny in a good way. Another nice, cheesy moment was when they were wearing roller skates for some other song.
Madonna did currently sell over 200 million units (albums and singles) because her record company Warner, which is one of the top four major record companies in the world, officially stated that Madonna has sold over that amount. The latest figures I've found on Mariah Carey is that she's sold a total of about 160 million units (albums and singles). I think Whitney Houston and Celine Dion each sold a little less than Mariah Carey.
I said that there were only two shows from "The Confessions Tour" that weren't sold out and that over 90% of the seats were full. But, I just found a Billboard Boxscore article stating that only about 300 seats from each of those two shows weren't sold out and that the stadium where those two shows took place seats 19,171 people. So even though it's true about what I said that over 90% of the seats were full in each of those shows, I did my new calculations after finding that Billboard Boxscore article and found that the more accurate number is that a little over 98% of the seats were full in each of those two shows. Those two shows took place in the Sazka Arena in Prague, Czech Republic, by the way. A little over 98% full in each of those shows, so yeah those two shows were almost sold out. There were just a few empty seats waaaaay in the back of the arena.
watched the concert. great songs, great dancing, great stage setup, great editing from Jonas Akerlund. But the commercials.. AHHHHHG. hated it. but i watched it on a huge TV using High Def, and surround sound. So maybe thats why i enjoyed the concert more.
i couldn't have agreed with you more on that line. i watched it that night and i thought i was looking at another edited music video that is always being used in most mtv reality shows and so forth. i fucking hated it. i was so looking forward to her confessions tour on nbc and i was disappointed with the televised concert overall. but hey she rocked the stage big time! what annoyed me so much on the show was those flashing pink lights that covered any type of movement that she was doing on stage. i thought for a second that nbc used those lights for that part of the performance. it seemed like it never lasted that long. The HBO shows were live and unedited. They were CONCERTS. The Confessions show on NBC has been edited to death and it didn't feel like a concert at all. It just felt like a long music video. What upsets me the most is you can't hear the crowd at all.
Watched it. Big Madonna fan here. I pretty much agree with everyone else. TOO FLASHY and it didnt have the "Concert" feel it should have. Too much fancy editing involved. But thats what you get when you hire Jonas Akerlund (a music video director) to direct a concert special. Oh well. It was nicely done but OVER DONE. Hopefully the DVD wont be as crazy. She definetley set a new standard for TV Concerts though. She can still put on one hell of a fucking show.

I enjoyed watching it. What a show!![]()
How will she die? Will she get a state funeral? Will it be like Freddy Mercury, a tribute concert and everything?
I think she will die of old age, she's very very healthy and fit. hav u seen her arms? she won't b getting arthritis! and she's vegetarian which also helps to live longer. Hope she doesn't become like Cher, with all the plasticity.
She will hopefully die soon. Elton John will re-re-record "Candle in the wind" and will maintain no. 1 position in 439 countries for 87 months.

She's never gonna die!! She's Madonna!
i don't care what will hapened and I think she will die of old age
i don't really talk too much about how a person will die, but as healthy as she is i think she is going to live for a long time up until her 100s possibly. but she'll be martyr is she dies in the future. think of her as the pop goddess of the world before britney, janet, christina, and all of her other successors. it would only influence more up and coming artists to embrace pop music for many generations. if it wasn't for madonna, pop music wouldn't be as successful as it was in the past and in the present. her music will be cherished throughout our generation, our children's generation, our great-grandchildren's generation and so forth.
