Ive been a long time 'lurker' on this site and cant believe I havent seen this thread before! Weigh-ins are literally my favourite thing, and I only really stumbled on this page by accident!

Is it true that I need 30 posts in order to post pics? Cos I've got quite a bit of material that I could add that hasnt been posted!! What about links (e.g. to youtube), are they allowed?

Thanks very much to all the above posters! I thought I'd already complied all there was to compile on this 'topic', but obviously not

The athletes strip down (and sometimes bare all) if they do not make weight. Some fighters go to the point to shaving all their body hair, just to make sure that they cut weight.

Sorry to ruin the whole fantasy, but its purely just to make sure that they make weight.

like in the some of the videos a fighter might be a few ounces over the limit so they just whip thier pants off to save going for a jog or in the sauna. you sound like you know about the weigh-ins. do you have any pics or videos?

Both these guys weighed in naked, there was even an article (no longer around, and in Spanish) about the first one talking in very graphic detail about every inch of this guy, I think he's called someone Vasquez. And the second one weighed in naked with a towel to his side but not to his front (saw the video, long gone I'm afraid), even though there were photographers and a videocamera in front of him!
