I think the original poster speaks for a lot of gay guys, sadly, enough. Bitchy, never happy, always having to tear down.
I have a theory that many if not most gay men are so conditioned by growing up gay in a homophobic world to not like "gay" that they develop self-loathing and project that loathing onto others.
You show me somebody who has to get petty with a model's handsome looks and I'll show you somebody who isn't happy with himself.
I mean, really. People don't have to be attracted to Darren Criss. Hell, there are lots of handsome guys that I'm not attracted to. But that doesn't mean I tear them down.
It's why I often feel like an outcast in the gay world. I'm a handsome guy, well-liked, but I don't fit in with all these bitches. I hate to say it, but very often I just find myself not liking gay men. And the comments in this post are exactly why.
