The scar, if prominent, is usually the result of the procedure being performed by way of the Gomco clamp. It will be a uniform ring, encircling the shaft of the penis. If the clamp is not set correctly or if the frenulum is pronounced, then the underside of the scar will take on a V-shape.
If the Plastibell was used, then there usually is no scar.
Even if no scar is present, the differences in skin color between the inner and outer layers of the foreskin can be quite prominent and make it look like there is a scar.
