I'm sitting here trying to relax, just finished cutting grass and leaves in the yard. It's a beautiful day. tomorrow is suppose to rain.

We're pretty much past cutting grass for the season up here - and I'm in a townhome, so it's taken care of for me by my fees.

And, Sandy did a pretty good job of shaking most (but not all) of the leaves off the trees.
Some held on pretty valiantly - much to the chagrin of those who have to rake them up, later.

My folks' trees always seem to be later leafing and dropping than most of their neighborhood by a couple three weeks.
I don't know if they have a different variety, or a really small microclimate - don't know what would cause the microclimate, though.

Watching the local news - UPS is pulling ove $80K in funding from the Boy Scouts for its discriminatory practices.
Our local council has never seen funding from them, but has an anti-discriminatory policy on their books - so they might actually qualify for the funds.
