She's actually going to sing some soulful songs again?! YES!!!!! That's what made her first CD so damn good. I was praying that she'd at least include one on the album but I see I no longer have to worry about that.

^the radio version, of "Never Again"
HOLY SHIT. This song is such a big step for Kelly. So amazingly done, strong vocals... what a hit this is going to be for her! OMG.
Thanks for the radio edit!! Can't wait to hear it!!
ooo i think i kinda like the Remix better.......but maybe i'll wait to make a judgement till i hear a HQ version of it first
I love the vocals but its got an odd tempo to it. I'm sure its one to grow on, its just weird. The lyrics are good, as usual though. Radios here are all over it (the album version)
Okay is she gonna be full on serving Pat Benetar, cause this song sure is.
I'm digging it especially since Pink's glass slipper still seems to be missing. She needs to hurry up and find that dam thing.
Anyway..here it is
Kelly Clarkson - "Never Again"
Do you have the brains talents or fierceness to make up your own record? Are you a semi-attractive person with a job much less an education?Do you even HAVE teeth?
The song isn't that great. I hope her next cd is as good as her last, because as much as I hate everything that is American Idol and the artists it produces, I actually think Kelly is pretty good.
.::It's the DICK LICKA! The BABY SIPPA! Ain't a bitch alive make a fella CUM QUICKA!::.
I like this version of the song a lot better. Its a lot more clear to hear what she's saying and it compliments her sound and vocals a lot more. Its much more Kelly imo.
The original version she is drowned out by the guitars and rock sound.
.::It's the DICK LICKA! The BABY SIPPA! Ain't a bitch alive make a fella CUM QUICKA!::.
Yeah, I like the club remix, the original blows. I really like the lyrics, nice revenge/break up song, which I'm in the mood for today.
The song sucks imo
I like the 2nd version posted!
The remix is better.
The original one had better be a filler song in her new album....
I like it. Very Pat Benetar.
That dance remix is so bland and generic.. sounds like every other song they play at every dance club.
Considering I'm not famous, you sure do talk about me a lot.
"have you ever known of a hater that's doing better than you?" -Chris Crocker.
I like the original better. I also love this rock sound shes trying.
I dig the lyrics, she sounds fucking great, I'm glad she's venturing more into rock. My only complaint is the melody, which is very bland and forgettable. I'm hoping this grows on me, though.
Great song, couldn't stand the remix - this is far better. Can't wait for the album.![]()
totally hot! cant wait for the new album!
It's ok, personally I think she could have done better. I think she insisted on writing more songs on this album and I feel as if it might affect the quality of the songs, this song reminds me a lot of Alanis Morisette's songs because of the lyrics.......
I think the original kicks ass. I am excited for her new album, her last one is tops for me.
I love her, she can do no wrong for me... No matter what she does from now, she did "Breakaway".. that was an awesome CD
Pop star KELLY CLARKSON has reportedly scrapped her new album after label bosses weren't impressed with the record. The 25-year-old singer suffered a scathing attack from Sony BMG chief Clive Davis after he heard the new tracks, reports British newspaper the Daily Star. A source at the record company tells the paper, "It was an extraordinary presentation. Clive was absolutely merciless in his criticism of Kelly. "She's one of the biggest priorities on the label and her new songs were savaged." The American Idol winner has been working on the follow up to 2005s best selling album Breakaway for 18 months, but has reportedly gone back to the studio to work on new tracks.

I don't know DANNO..."Never Again" sucks big time and, if the lead track is any indication, this article seems credible.
This information is in the English newspapers today and it has been on the news etc i have heard she is not scrapping the album but the track listing is being changed as both parties (her and the record company are not happy with the final set up.
However i thikn never again is really good and that song alone make me want to buy the album
The album has not been scrapped. She is just going back to the studio to record more tracks. This news isnt new, there had been murmurs that RCA wasnt happy with Kelly's new more edgier sound. But the cd will be pushed back a bit.
This is most likely false! Come on, the album is due out in a month and they already planned a tour and appearances on a bunch of shows to promote the album. They wouldn't have waited that long to hear the album and to tell her that it needs work. I say this story is fake! I love the new song and her video is hot too. i love Kelly!
Hopefully it isnt true!
there is no report on her offical web site, fan web site, or RCA's site about this. Besides how many times has the Daily Star saying "Confirmed reports of Spice Girl Reunion"....its a rumor mag.
Perez posted this. Nuf said.
^ Agreed! Came from perez
It's not true. I came from some British tabloid, RCA issued a press release and cleared it up. Once again, IT'S NOT TRUE
"Bet It Sucks To See My Face Everywhere..."
Yeah, I've heard that.. but trust me, if the album is out in a month, there's no way in HELL that Clive Davis heard the album for the first time this week.
And besides, if that new song is any indication, she's about to release a monster album.. that's her best song ever.
Considering I'm not famous, you sure do talk about me a lot.
"have you ever known of a hater that's doing better than you?" -Chris Crocker.
Kelly's publicist confirmed that it is not true. Though it wouldn't surprise me because RCA already said that if Never Again flopped, she'd have to head back to the studio.
Ive actually been hearing alot about this...and I heard it on the Radio on a very reliable station....and the DJ was saying it just as it was written from the first post on here....Poor Kelly.
No, actually I didn't make that up. And there's no reason to be rude and name call, simply because you can't deal with the fact that I don't like Never Again.
There were articles a while ago coming out saying that RCA wasn't happy with the fact that her album was going in more of a rock direction (which makes sense because they didn't want her to even do Breakaway) and gave her an ultimatum about the first single (before it was even confirmed that it was Never Again).
Kelly has even said herself that her label was concerned because the tracks sounded very Pat Benatar. "I had somebody at my label say they didn't like it because it was too Pat Benatar," Clarkson told MTV News of the new song.

it doesn't say ANYWHERE in that article that she was going to be sent back to the studio if Never Again wasn't a hit, and it doesn't say that RCA wasn't happy.. just that one person compared it to Pat Benetar (and that person could be the janitor).
It's a moot point anyway.. Never Again is a hit and the album will be too. I think that song is briliant.
Considering I'm not famous, you sure do talk about me a lot.
"have you ever known of a hater that's doing better than you?" -Chris Crocker.
Never Again sounds like a 12 year old's take on Alanis' You Oughta Know.
"I hope the ring you gave her turns her finger green"
Haha.
oh of course... it's shlock.. shallow pop. Name a song by Kelly Clarkson that isn't.
But it's a throwback to 80s Bad Girl rock/pop and we haven't had that in a LONG time.
Considering I'm not famous, you sure do talk about me a lot.
"have you ever known of a hater that's doing better than you?" -Chris Crocker.
None of her songs are amazing lyrical masterpieces but at least she seemed to be aware of that. This one is trying to be all bad and the the result is laughable. Alanis does it so much better.
Not sure from where the comparrison between Kelly Clarkson and Alanis comes.
Annie Lennox and Pat Benetar do it better than either one could ever hope to do in a million years.
At least Kelly Clarkson isn't belting out whiner tripe like "Because of you" or "a moment like this." Leave that shit for the Euro-Trash awards.
Considering I'm not famous, you sure do talk about me a lot.
"have you ever known of a hater that's doing better than you?" -Chris Crocker.
If the whole album is like "Never Again" then it should be scrapped.
I didn't say it DID say that in the article, as I said, the article came out a while ago, and I couldn't find the exact article that mentioned it. Here is a Billboard Q&A where someone else mentions they read the same thing http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/ask_b..._id=1003574416
I'm just making the point that I read that RCA was apprehensive about the direction she was going with this album (as they were with Breakaway), so it's not that much of a stretch that they would give her some sort of ultimatum about Never Again.
And it's too early to call Never Again a bona fide hit. It shot up to #8 because of iTunes, but we've yet to see how well it will fare on radio.
i wondered that myself..has there been any official release date for her new cd?

I LOVE Never Again!!!!!! I hope shes just recording new tracks and the album and tour are still on schedule.
You don't know "You Oughta Know"? I'm guessing you do, but anyway...

Same concept and even some similar lines, except Kelly's execution is awful. I liked Never Again until that song came to mind and then I realized how it pales in comparison.
Her voice is incredible though, so I'll check out her album regardless.
