Tim Tebow is a tool of the religious right-freaks. He has had a personal relations firm handling his public persona since he was in the 9th grade. His parents are religious frauds who make a glamorous living off the backs of the poor who support their ministry. It is a damned shame that many can not or will not see through the Tebow sham....glad as hell to see the piece of shit cry like the little girl he is.....cry on Timmy Sue....

I know a lot of gay people are willing to ignore anything about guys they think are hot, even if they are racist, sexist, assholes, etc. But I find Tebow completely unattractive after learning he is a conservative Christian who is working with the notoriously anti-gay Focus on Family and their anti-abortion campaign.
The anti-abortion part doesn't bother me at all,indeed I'm very sympathetic.His mother chose to have him despite being in a tough personal; situation.Being against,or deeply ambivalent regarding most instances of abortion is very ethically defensible.It's the anti gay part of Focus on the Family,which is indeed a major cog in their agenda,that's indefensible on all grounds and would be the reason I was appalled by the commercial.The hypocrisy of the group is contemptible,and it is commmon with most of the social conservative organizations to sour their so-called Christian values with the acidic vinegar of bigotry and intolerance.
^Yea but every woman is not his mother and should be able to choose what to do if they become pregnant. Just like his mother was able to make a choice to keep her pregnancy. His mother and him want to take away other women's freedom. And that's not right. It's kinda selfish for you to only care about Focus on Family's issues that concern gay people and not care about how they oppress another minority group. It's like you're saying oppressing women who get pregnant is ok but oppressing gay people is bad just because you are a gay person.

Looks pretty pro-choice to me. She made her choice and she's happy with it. she's encouraging people to choose life but I didn't see anywhere her saying "I shouldn't have had that choice."

Note the referral to Focus' Web site at the end of the TV ad. That TV ad is just to get people to go to Focus' Web site, where there is doubtlessly tons of deceptions, half-truths, distortions, and outright lies. You can't take anything those people at FOTF say at face value. There's always some agenda, sometimes hidden, sometimes not. Doesn't matter whether James Dobson is running it or not. I've seen waaaaaaaay too much in 20 years -- I wouldn't trust them one bit. [-X
The story (supposedly, if you believe anything those people say) is that her pregnancy was difficult and her doctor advised her to get an abortion. She didn't, and eventually delivered Tim.
Nothing wrong with that, BTW.
But, if it was a difficult pregnancy, traveling that far, to return to the US, probably wasn't an option either. Most women with that kind of pregnancy get put on bed rest. And the Phillippines' laws on abortion are pretty tough:
There is no law in the Philippines that expressly authorizes abortions in order to save the woman's life; and the general provisions which do penalize abortion make no qualifications if the woman's life is endangered.
