I was also going from (crappy) memory. If I had just gotten a "yyyeah, I'll be out of town", I would've known that was a brushoff. If it was "wow, I'd love to, but I'm out of town", I would've taken it at face value. So I'm thinking I got something in between. As I said, though, no worries - I certainly didn't take it badly.
