I have a sense of humour that sometimes even I do not get. Otherwise I am a boring person, and proud of it. I like classical music, most other forms of music, observing other people and cultures, travel, political discussions, sneezing, and getting to know people despite my inherent shyness... :/

Homosexuals + computer games =

Love is our only salvation

by cAndId on May 4th, 2008 at 08:06 PM
This is no simple reform. It really is a revolution. Sex and race because they are easy and visible differences have been the primary ways of organizing human beings into superior and inferior groups and into the cheap labour in which this system still depends. We are talking about a society in which there will be no roles other than those chosen or those earned. We are really talking about humanism. - Gloria Steinem

Seal - Crazy

by cAndId on April 29th, 2008 at 05:53 AM

In a world full of people, only some want to fly,
Isn't that crazy?

Great song by Seal. I think what he was getting at is that we tend to not want to take chances with our lives, always following the safest path... but we are not going to move forward as a race if we dont take chances and learn to fly. 'We are never going to survive unless we get a little crazy'.

We need to get in touch with ourselves and get out there. We need to let

Stein's Expelled

by cAndId on April 1st, 2008 at 02:41 AM

Ben Stein made a movie harshly criticizing the scientific community for blocking religion from being taught as fact in the science classroom.

Teaching mythology as fact in the science classroom is absurd, but even more absurd is how he apparently presents his case in the movie... like going to Dachau and comparing the 'expulsion of ID from the classroom' to Nazi Germany.

That is crossing the line.

Wake up homos! We're at war!!

Self-loathing gays piss me off... I can understand if they are having trouble getting past the persecution and bitter attacks from the close-minded Right world that we live in... but if it gets to the point where they are actively working against gay rights, or just believing that LGBT persons should not have equal rights, then they have crossed the line. The line between me sympathizing with their position and me coldly resenting them.

Its easy to conform, or desire to conform, to

Starting to warm up!

by cAndId on April 25th, 2007 at 12:22 AM
You know that feeling that you get when you come out of a period where you were really depressed for days on end? Ya I am feeling that now. Its like standing outside and you notice clouds start to part and this is the first time you noticed it was a cloudy day. I would imagine it wouldnt help after hearing things like "why is it illegal to kill gay people?" and similar pleasant remarks every time a gay theme is demonstrated on the boob tube... although I am sure they were half-joking but
