I love great advice that inspires me to think in different ways and this week my favorite mentor/guru reminded me why I love him so much.....

His advice...

Change yourself in the way you want everyone else to change
Love your enemies in case your friends turn out to be jerks
Avoid thinking about winning the lottery while making love
Brainwash yourself before someone nasty beats you to it
Confess big secrets to people who aren't very interested
Write a love letter to your evil twin during a lunar eclipse
Fool the tricky red beasts guarding the Wheels of Time
Locate the master codex and add erudite graffiti to it
Dream up wilder, wetter, more interesting problems
Change your name every day for a thousand days
Kill the apocalypse and annihilate Armageddon
Exaggerate your flaws till they turn into virtues
Brag about what you can't do and don't have
Get a vanity license plate that reads KZMYAZ
Bow down to the greatest mystery you know
Make fun of people who make fun of people

#4 is my favorite...I am going to contemplate that for the next week or so before I move on to the others....

I like those too! Some very clever lines.

I think I'll need some time to wrap my head around this one:

"Exaggerate your flaws till they turn into virtues."

Yeah...I have been contemplating his wisdom since my early 20s now...I love him because he makes me think. I think exaggerating your flaws can open alot of doors in your mind because it frees you...maybe revealing another dimension of humility.

I know I used to be terrified of making mistakes or letting anyone else know I made them but I had a few incidents in my 20s that forced me to do a big way...and what I thought would destroy me was actually the best possible course of action and instead of being devastated I had a lot of freedom.

I have been contemplating one thing he said now for 30+ is my favorite mystery
