TLA Video looks like a superstore, only an internet version. To start with you have four main areas to browse; Hollywood and independent DVDs, Gay and Lesbian, Books and Adult. Each area has a search and advanced search function a page of new releases, news on what's coming soon and an on-line catalogue. And what's even better is that in each area you get more side aisles, for want of a better description. For example if you look in the gay and lesbian section you'll find the same handy links to what's new and coming soon, but you'll also get separate areas for books, calendars and erotica.

So where to start? Well, that's the question isn't it? It depends on what you want of course but what struck me as good about TLAVideo is that it was not just selling gay porn. If you like the store you can also buy your mainstream DVDs here as well as other gay material. There are special DVD collections, you can pre-order items, create a wish list and there is even an area for movies under $10.00. Generally the prices look reasonable and many titles are discounted.

Once you have found a title you like the look of you simply click the image and you're onto a page with masses of helpful information about that title. This information includes the recommended price, discount available, if the title is instantly available, synopsis, reviews, rating (by the site), studio, cast and the other technical info you need to ensure it will suit you – like DVD region, language and subtitles etc.

What you should remember is that the site is divided into two; everything you'll find under DVD, Gay and Books is general. There may be erotica in there but it will be just that, erotica and not porn. If you want hardcore you will have to go to the adult section where you will find areas for both gay and straight material. The pages here are the same as in the general store area with the same excellent search features and masses of information about each title. I could have spent all day counting the number of titles at this site but I didn't, but to give you a rough idea of content amount there were at least 300 studios listed in the Gay Adult section alone.

There is a video on demand option too, buy minutes and it's like renting a movie and to rate or review what you've seen or bought you can login and create your own account. That part is free and once you've done it you can set up your payment details, opt to receive emails and updates and check out your orders. You will also find plenty of information about shipping which is important if you live outside of the USA as the shipping costs can be more expensive than the actual items. In fact I could go and on about all the great features of this store but we'd be here all day. It doesn't cost you anything to browse so if I were you I'd go and take a good look around and believe me you will be there for hours.

Bottom line:
I think this store is great for many reasons. It is a store where you can find well priced general entertainment, DVDs, books and so on as well as well priced adult movies, toys and erotica. Movies start at around $9.99 and the most expensive I saw was $54.99 but there are plenty of bargains and special offers too. It is a very well organised store with lots of everything as well products from well known gay movie studios. There are thousands of titles, books and other things to buy, regular updates on what's new and the whole shebang runs smoothly and is easy to use.
