Hindsight is not merely the serendipity of spotting a guy with a great butt.  It is the ability to assess the past in order to chart the future.

By the time you read this, the 2008 Gay Pride season will have begun. However, nowadays, there’s a Pride event taking place somewhere in the world most months of the year. “Gay Pride” as a concept, slogan, and an opportunity for parties and parades originated in response to activists wanting to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall uprising. But even before there was a name for it (or us), across the millennia there have been gay men and lesbians who quietly, or loudly, lived their lives in defiance of convention, without the need for mass approval.

Gay Pride is something that happens every day of the year, not just during the festivals. To volunteer time, or to donate money, helping keep Pride alive, consider these resources:
