Many of you may not know it, but there is an NGBA as apposed to the NBA.  Of course, there are many differences, but the main one is that the NGBA is for anyone gay or gay-friendly who'd like to shoot some hoops.  There are teams all over the country and teams from other countries often come out to compete.  You didn't think GayGames was it, did you?

The West Coast Classic is one of the biggest annual gay sport tournaments in the U.S that also features some European teams.  This year the WCC will host 20 teams on MLK Weekend,  January 19-20, 2008. Lambda Basketball is the host for this years tournament in Los Angeles.  As with the Gaymes, each city usually packs the weekend full of events that anyone can attend.  I can tell you that as a player, we get no greater feeling than having a crowd come out to watch the games then party with us afterwards.  I won't be in town for this years tournament because I'm swamped with other things, but I wish I was going to be there, and you won't want to miss it if you are in the area.

For more information about the National Gay Basketball Association, joining or forming a team a local team, or just watching the competition, checkout the NGBA website Here!
The website is a helpful portal for finding gay pickup games in your area as well.
