The Internet is abuzz today with the story that hedge fund manager (who was recently found dead in his Jupiter, Florida home) Seth Tobias was a regular client of twink pornstar/escort Lexx Parker (pictured above, who also does tranny porn under the name Kayla Coxx). Both JC Adams and Fleshbot have picked up on the story. In his Vidioview blog, Mark Adams mentioned Lexx’s past relationship with gay porn star Cody Cash. That wasn’t Lexx’s only public fling. I seem to remember him saying at one point that he was involved with straight porn star Alec Metro as well. This also isn’t Lexx’s first foray into the public forum in connection with a scandal. When Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards were first going through a divorce, it was alleged that Charlie hired Lexx (in his Kayla persona) in an escort capacity (in a cheerleader outfit no less!). Sheen denied that allegation and Lexx played coy with the media, never giving a straight answer. This also isn’t this story’s only connection to gay porn. Tobias was found dead in his swimming pool, and a former assistant is accusing his widow of luring him into the pool (in the middle of a cocaine binge) with the promise of sex with gay porn star Tiger. I also read an article on GayWired all about the gay-for-pay phenomenon, and how it has become an extremely lucrative niche market for the burgeoning gay porn Internet industry. Rather than condemn or condone, the article merely examines what exactly defines gay-for-pay and gives possible reasons why it is so popular. Of course subjects such as masculinity, femininity, and the term “straight-acting” are also examined. It’s an interesting read, and one of the most interesting things is that the article was written by Dylan Vox, the nom-de-plume of gay porn star Brad Benton, who has had such a long and varied porn career that I am certain he has had more than his fair share of working with gay-for-pay actors.
In other legal news that’s related to gay porn, XBIZ is reporting on an alleged extortion ring involving gay porn performer Cody Castagna and a Washington state politician (Republican Richard Curtis). The gist of the story is, the politico (who is married to a woman and a father of 2) hired Castagna as an escort. He then alleges that Castagna came back asking for more money or else he would out the lawmaker as gay. He was then arrested for extortion. Now Castagna is stating that the story is completely fabricated and a way to take the heat off of Curtis. Click on the link to read all the salacious details.
