Over at GAYVN they are reporting that the American division of Japanese automobile company Toyota is threatening legal action against Swiss bareback company Eboys because they have a gay porn performer named "Lexus" that is prominently featured in a couple of their titles, namely SpunkLand and CumEaters. (Are you all following me so far? I swear there are so many countries involved in this story I needed a flowchart to understand it.) They say that having a performer named Lexus is a violation of United States copyright law. The President of Eboys, Daniel Grangier, said that the performer was not named after the car, but rather "the Greek god Lexus." OK, um, I have never heard of a Greek god named Lexus. In fact, the wikipedia entry on Lexus states that the word was made up by Toyota as a combination of "luxury" and "elegance." Toyota is asking for a recall of those two films. Eboys is reluctant to do that, and estimates that such a move would cost the studio at least $100,000. The lawyers for both sides are currently discussing the options available. The whole thing reminds me of one of my favorite jokes from the movie The Queens Of Comedy, when Adele Givens says, "I have a friend named Alexis who looks like a Buick."

In other news, straight porn performer Nacho Vidal has filmed (as a director) his first hardcore gay feature.  The movie is called Ass Destroyers and features a foreign cast. It is the first hardcore gay release from Evil Angel, a straight porn company. Although, Vidal did shoot an all-oral/masturbation movie called Face Fuckers previous to this. What I found interesting about that is that XBIZ has reported that, "Traditionally, solo masturbation and blowjob movies attract a straight or bi-curious audience." REALLY? That blows my mind. It's hard for me to imagine straight guys getting off watching guys give each other blowjobs, but maybe I am just being closed-minded. The movie is being released on December 26th.

Finally, Fabscout Entertainment has issued a statement via their website re: their stance on safe sex. They said:

However, as a talent management company, we feel that we have a moral responsibility when it comes to protecting the best interest of our models. As such we stand behind our decision to only work with Studios, Producers and Models who share our views in promoting safe sex practices within the Adult Entertainment Business.
