Gay Gift Guides

I've scoured the web for the best gift ideas for just us boys.  Giving a great gift to someone who is gay does not mean you have to give a gay gift, and in many cases, it's probably better that you don't.  Wanna play gay Santa this Christmas?  Try some of these ideas:

Techie:

Decent tech is never expensive, but there are plenty of bargains to be found.  For tech and any of these other ideas be sure to search around for the best price, if you have the time.  Ebay, Amazon, Shopzilla, Pricegrabber,.. These are all great sites to shop for the best deal. Be suspicious of the really great deals.  A good company will have plenty reviews for you to verify their llegitimacy.  That said, the XM Nexus 50 is a great inexpensive gift.  It's satellite radio on the go! One session of listening and exploring all that satellite radio has to offer will blow anyone away.  And this way, you don't have to worry about breaking any laws downloading music.  It's always there!

Open Budget
ipodtouchgay.jpgYou can't go wrong with the iPod touch.  Most likely, they don't have it and haven't experienced anything like it.  If they are one of the lucky one's on the Cingular network, the iPhone is a sure bet as well.  If both of these are still too much, the iPod nano is sleek, cute, but still cool to own.  Given you pick the right color, of course.  iPod  products have the added benefit of being arguably the most user friendly mp3 experience available.

Book Worm

GayMagazinesForMen.jpgMany people don't realize the coolness and value in magazine subscriptions.  A year's subscription to a magazine can cost as little as $20 or even free if you go through the right promotion channels.  If you know the person well, you can hit their interests dead on with thousands to choose from.  If you don't know them that well, make an educated guess based on what you do know.  A Playstation Magazine subscription for the PS3 owner, a Sports Illustrated subscription for the Sports Lover, A Food & Wine subscription for the connoisseur, The Advocate for the Gay Rights Activist, or better yet Entertainment Weekly for the gossip fiend.  Now that's your money's worth.

The Complete Harry Potter Book Set.  Has to be hardcover and with a collector's case to be classy.  I haven't read a single Harry Potter book myself, but even I would think this is a cool gift.

Jewelry

Smaller Budget
You can find lots of inexpensive jewelry around.  Target, or Wal-mart, the mall, etc.

loveandpridelgayjewelry.jpgLooking for a little more class and bling.  Try checking out LoveandPride.  I'm sure they are plenty busy around this time of year as they specialize in some amazing commitment bands for gay couples, both discreet and out-proud with class.  They also have watches, pendants, earrings, etc.

Something Unique

NY Times Reprints from any specific date.  You can put in a frame or on a t-shirt the date someone was born, or wed, for instance.

How bout a calendar? There's quite a variety of those too.  If you know the guy enjoys his daily eye candy why not send him Mormons Exposed or Hot Rundu with free dvd?!

beerwindflowerclubforgaymen.jpgWhy not surprise them with a club membership? There are clubs for every type of interest you can imagine.  The ones that you pay a membership fee to join usually have some cool perks and activities.  Wine Clubs, Chocolate Lover's Clubs, Beer Clubs, heck you can even buy some one a Sam's or Costco membership if they don't already have one.  At Amazing Clubs you can select the length of their membership giving you more flexibility on cost.
