I really think Tyler's hatred for Svet has to do with his own insecurities. He perceived her from day 1 as the girl straight guys gravitate towards and he is obviously jealous of that. It's SO obvious. Once when they were all chatting he remarked (to Svet) "Oh my GOD not every guy wants to sleep with you!" (referring to John and the other guy, I forget his name, the manager) even though both men had remarked earlier that they'd love to get with her. Essentially his tearing down Svetlana has to do with the fact that TYLER would like to get with John and/or other guy and/or Jose and is threatened by the fact that they are turned on by her. His disparaging and cruel remarks to her are a way of displacing his own envy and sexual desire.

That's pretty much describing me. I'm misogynistic in that regard, as well. I guess that's why I love Tyler! There have been plenty of times I've been a Tyler to a Svetlana type. Handling my own insecurities when it comes to "the girl straight guys gravitate towards" by finding hers and tearing her the fuck down. It's fun. Even though it doesn't change the fact that "straight guys gravitate towards" her, but at least she's too busy feeling like an insecure mess to notice it! But she deserves it. Svetlana has absolutely no substance to be getting the "attention" she gets.
