God no! The hype on Brokeback Mountain has been going for months even before it opened. Actually I was getting very tired of reading about it over and over on J U B as if a gay oriented movie had never been made. Yes, the two leads are cowboys; so what's the big deal. Anyone can be gay. It's not restricted by race, colour, profession or anything else.

Of course I was eager to see it and I loved it. Heath and Jake are both so adorable and they play so well off each other. The tragic ending is heartwrentching. What a waste of two lives. Heath is up for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor and definitely will get an Oscar Nomination. For some insane reason, Jake Gyllenhaul is NOT nominated for Best Supporting Actor though he has won some awards in that category already. Since the film is doing very well, he could surprise everybody and get a Best Supporting Actor OSCAR nomination. The Oscar Nominations will be revealed at the end of January.

i just like cowboy boots in general. i think the neatest part about them is that they're so macho-associated, but they have heels.
