Bumping the most recent thread. Just finished Attack On Titan within the last week and MAN what a show that is. Can't wait for more. As of now I am watching Bleack non-filler. Kind of addicted to it right now.

anyone know of any anime movies or tv series that feature gay themes or characters?
Not looking for porn, just love stories!
There's a couple, in fact there's a whole genre. If you look up yaoi you can find a bit.
Two off the top of my head are sensitive pornograph and junjo romantica but I think they both feature sex
Ai no Kusabi is pretty good. Or you could try Gravitation. If you want a little more action, I might suggest something like Uraboku, or Mirage of Blaze.
So I was wondering if anyone on JUB is into anime?
I used to be heavily into anime when I was younger, then as I started getting older I somewhat lost interest in it. But now I find myself getting into the genre once again and I'm curious to know if there are any other anime fans here as well?
I like anime but I don't keep up with the latest.

^ The same. I like to watch anime every once in a while, but I'm not a fanatic.
some favorites of mine I keep rewatch.....
ヒカルの碁 (My #1 all time favorite)
^ was X-men an anime? I don't remember it being one. I've also been watching Parasyte the Maxim as well.
Some of my personal favorite:
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Shojo Kakumei Utena
Attack on titan
and that's just to name a few
It was an accident, but everytime I tell guys about this cartoon they laugh at me.
The year was 1999. It was 3:30am on a Saturday morning. I didn't have cable so I clicked the remote to channel surf.
And that's when I saw this cartoon about a flying house! Well, what would you do? I laughed outloud. Then I settled down and started paying attention.
The name is, of course, "The Flying House" and it was released back in 1982 in Japan. The show found a home in the USA at the Christian Broadcasting Network, CBN; and on Trinity Broadcasting Network, TBN. The story is about three friends that stumble upon a house in the woods, where they meet an absent-minded professor and his robot helper. An accident sends the house into the air where it begins flying through both space and time to land in the Middle East during biblical times.
This has to be the most improbable animation idea I've ever encountered - And It Works!
No joke! Since 2001, "The Flying House" has caught the fancy of anime fans around the world. Like a photograph, "The Flying House" somehow captured the special vibe of the early 80's with its "interesting" dialog and "80's period-piece" background music all combined with that wacky way Japanese sometimes translates into English.
The three children, Justin, Angie and Corky are absolutely adorable. They spend most of the series talking about food, dreaming about food, searching for food or actually buying food. During their grocery shopping adventures the kids run into Jesus from time to time. The interactions usually go something like this:
"Hey Jesus . . . got anything good to eat?"
Poor Jesus, after he feeds the children they always ask for more to take back to Professor Bumble. Sorta like a smaller scale version of the miracle of the loaves and fishes.
But seriously, if you're an anime fan "The Flying House" is a real gem of a cartoon. This series has a sweet, gentle spirit. The children are a delight and the conversations are sometimes unbelievable!
What seals the deal for me has to be the awesome intro theme song. Once that theme song stuck in my head I had to wake up early every Saturday Morning to catch the cartoon from the beginning.
"Don't shoot Officer . . . I like Men"
^haha that's freaking adorable!
here's another one of my favorites that I forgot to add on here
I think it has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard for an anime.
Kurama from 幽☆遊☆白書Yu Yu Hakusho is my favorite 90' anime character, the way that he defeat Toguro in ep84 is absolutely classic, it's all about strategy not just power.
蔵馬 vs 戸愚呂兄
I prefer original CV because english CV is too manly lack of neutral/elegant factor that Kurama should has.
I almost completely lost interest too. Here are some of my youth's favorite:
And the best one... Fantazoo...

I watch an anime series here and there. I recently began watching Fate/Zero. Before that I watched Claymore. I went and read the manga after I finished the anime series.
It really picks up after episode 5.
What a joy to find anime fans here on JUB. This is a fantastic collection of videos. But the most amazing thing of all is being able to share favorite series with each other. In my lifetime I've gone from network broadcasts to the internet. It wasn't all that long ago that the stuff we're looking at here was of the, "watch it once, watch it twice - then never see it again", variety. Before the VCR I thought I would never see my favorite shows again.
And that's why the series, "Ulysses 31" means so much to me.
In all my years of watching animation, "Ulysses 31" stands apart as unique. An unusual mix of mythology and sci-fi, this cartoon kept me in front of my television every week waiting to see what would happen next. There are moments in "Ulysses 31" that are, quite frankly, awe inspiring. All the more amazing because the series goes the way back to 1981. By the time it was released in English it was 1987. That was the year I saw it on an independent TV station in Seattle, WA.
For the love a father shows for his son, "Ulysses 31" deserves to survive as an anime classic.
"Don't shoot Officer . . . I like Men"
some more favorites of mine
I love this track...
lol, One Piece was pretty good. Series has been going on for so long that I can't keep up with it.

If you want to talk about fillers look no further than Naruto. I still get nightmares when I think about the fillers shown in part 1 of the series.
