Hey guys. I think that your meet might be on Sept. 10th but I am not sure. I haven't received any request for shirts. If you guys want them I need to know as soon as possible so I can mail them out. Who would be the group coordinator?

So far we think it's going to be the 10th, although we only have 3 confirmed so far.

I'd like a shirt..... I'm sure the rest of the guys would too. I'll PM you to make arrangements once we get a handle on how many people are coming.

Well so far we don't have any underagers who said "aye", so we can meet wherever.

I would suggest somewhere we can get to know each other first, like Brickskeller. Then we can take it from there. Any other ideas?

bruin is out of town for the weekend and he asked me to check in on the thread.

If we want a location that under-21s can attend (at least to start), ESPNzone is good and fairly accessible. It isn't Dupont, but a lot of the Dupont-area places are 21-over.

If there aren't any under-21s that care to go, bruin suggested the Brickskeller on 22nd and P as an initial meetup location, and we can go from there after eating or whatever (it's certainly right next to the Fireplace, and JR's is only a few minute walk up P street).

Thoughts?

As for coordination, I guess set bruin as the coordinator. Shirtwise, I'd take an S.

Well, since I got tagged by damastes as coordinator I guess I need to coordinate.

OK, looks like so far we have 4:

In addition, dccanuck has told us that he might come too. It looks like the most popular choices right now to start off are Brickskeller, or ESPNZone if any 18-21 year olds come (restonboi, you coming or not?) I say wait for confirmation that underagers are coming by, say, Thursday PM, and plan accordingly.

As for shirts, XL for me please.

Well, it ended up being a very small meetup. I have to say that it didn't feel like much of an official JUB meet given that damastes, dccanuck, and I are neighbours and get together anyway. But Thad1527 joined us, and it was a good time all around. We met up at ESPNZone in downtown DC for drinks and dinner; we were going to play in the game room downstairs but it was closed due to an unfortunate incident.

Damastes took some pics, which I'm sure he will post pending approval of the subjects involved.

I'm definitely up for trying again, but it would be nice to get more people together next time.
