    Problem with using Sunscreen

    Hi guys,

I need your advices on this.

I have a habit of sometimes applying sunscreen when I'm outdoors. Because I was afraid of damage done to my face from long term exposure to the sun. Example: wrinkles, aging face

When I squeeze the sunscreen from the tube, it is white in colour. After I apply the sunscreen on my face, it takes about 10-20 minutes for the sunscreen to blend into my skin and becomes "invisible".

Here comes the big problem. I sweat and perspire a lot especially under the hot sun and whenever I have to carry heavy stuffs.

The sweats will flow down from my face and touch the "applied sun-screen area" and some of the whiteness will reappear on my face.

How do I prevent this problem? Is there a solution to my problem? Does this mean that I can't apply sunscreen because I sweat a lot?

    Use a different sunscreen.

Use a One-A-Day type sun block. Wait the recommended 20 mins and then shower it off. You are then protected

Neutrogena and other companies make a relatively lightweight moisturizer with an SPF of 30.

I recently started using Anthelos 60 from La Roche-Posay. 60 SPF--very lightweight, paraben-free and quickly becomes invisible after application.

What brand are you using? Sounds like it's natural type zinc oxide/titanium dioxide. Those are known to go on white. For none beach, daily use, try a chemical sunscreen from Olay with SPF 15-20 not more. The daily moisturizer SPF will generally feel less heavy and thick on the face. And chemical sun screen doesn't leave a pasty white residue.

What's available will depend on where you are, because here in the U.S., the Food and Drug Administration has been slow in approving certain sunscreens that have been used widely in other countries. See this article:

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/t...he-u-s-market/

I have been pretty happy with sunscreens from Neutrogena, but during a recent visit with a dermatologist, he recommended a brand that I have never heard of highly. He gave me a sample to try, and I must say that I like it very much--it feels lighter and the skin can absorb it quickly and thoroughly, without residue. But it is about twice as expensive as most brands, and not readily available over-the-counter at your neighborhood drugstores.

    Thanks for all your advices.

When I put on sunscreen, and when I sweat a lot, sometimes the liquid enters my mouth.

I'm worried. Will the (sunscreen mix with sweat) enter my mouth and I swallow it.....is it poisonous?

Will it cause harm to my body? Will I get cancer if I accidentally eat/swallow sunscreen?

You will probably get cancer from just slathering chemicals all over your body.

Hell.... you'll probably get cancer from what you eat and drink or the air you breathe.

Or swallowing jizz. Or getting fucked in the ass. Or not cleaning your foreskin (true).

Or you might just get cancer from genetics.

Do you think that if swallowing sunscreen with spit caused cancer in all the people who use it that it would still be on the market? Well you're right.

Get out there and just get a sun tan....at least you'll know where you got your cancer from.

Try to stay out of the sun?

Or wear a broad-brimmed hat that shields your face?

Depends on the umbrella. Don't use the clear ones if that's your purpose. You'll also want to avoid windows if that's your plan.
I know gay men's communities in particular value youth but try not putting so high a value on it yourself. Everyone wrinkles if they're lucky enough to live so long.

Hell, wrinkles and scars are badges of life. Learn to embrace them or live in creeping misery - your call.
