Well, greetings, all. I hope you're doing well.
I happen to be the owner of the HomoPower tumblr page, and its 3 sub-blogs. I'm wanting to redesign all 4 blogs, and give them a fresh, new, updated look. I'm currently beta-testing the new tumblr theme I've chosen - Fluid Neue, pictured below, on one of the sub-blogs before I - for sure - invest the time and work to transfer the other 3 over to the new theme.
So far, so good. I love it - it's clean, yet very modern. It's going to look badass, when I'm done.
But, as you can see in the screenshot, I'm running into a slight issue. That lead post at the center of the pic, right above Richard Pierce's abs and crotch - that is supposed to be a video of a guy jerking off. It doesn't show the video box, or even a thumbnail - it's just left blank, with the caption text visible beneath it.
If you go to that page, the next post under that is also a video - same problem - a blank space where the video player box should be.
Am I doing something wrong for the videos not to show up? These are videos directly uploaded to Tumblr, reblogged from other tumblr pages - not a Redtube, Xtube, etc. embedded video. No, this a tumblr-hosted video, and it's not playing.
Now, when you click through, on the red button on the upper-left, which takes you to the individual post - the video DOES show up there, and it plays just fine. But why won't it show up on the main page? I have that same problem on both Chrome and Firefox, and Firefox, I'm actually not signed into Tumblr on that browser, so I can see what a 3rd-person viewer would see.
If you're visiting my blog, the video should just show up on the main page - you shouldn't have to do the extra step of clicking through to that individual post, just to watch the video I've reblogged.
What gives? Is there something in the HTML code I can fix, or what?
Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
