    Best Accessory

I think the best accessory a person can have is a smile.

Aw I remember those belts, I had one too. Not a fancy superman one though. I bet you were so cute.

    I definitely agree!

I think gsdx's post explains it quite well indeed.

A smile is a wonderful gift to receive - I appreciate them quite a bit myself.

Jason, your answer is the best. A friendly smile can go such a long way, even to a complete stranger. Watch them smile back at you. It feels good.

    Re: Best Accessory

Do you mean accessories or assets? I haven't got assets like a winning smile or pouting lips so I cover up with my No. 1 accessory, which is a pair of snazzy sunglasses I got for a fiver in Berwick Street Market years ago. They help me to look dynamic and thrusting instead of vacant and grumpy.

And I've still got my stripey snake belt from the seventies! The elastic has gone but I won't part with it.

That's a good one. You could snort washing-up liquid and blow bubbles to entertain your fellow-passengers on buses and trains.

Women in India and Southern Asia have worn nose chains since at least the 1500's. I like the exotic (to my culture) appeal. And, although South Asians seeing the man might perceive his accessory differently, I think he carries it off well without being feminized by it. Handsome man.

At the risk of exiling this thread to Celebrities, I think Johnny Depp could have started a craze with them if he had worn one as his pirate character (as if Disney would have allowed it.)

Essex is right, of course. Facial expression is not an accessory, but what it added is.

For me..the juxtaposition of race/ethnicity to whom wearing that sort of piercing is what makes it interesting The further he is from the actual culture, the more interesting it would be presented. ^^

Smiling can be infectious. I like to give them in abundance and I like to people watch. Having them returned is a wonderful thing.

Different strokes for different folks. If one of my neighbors were wearing a nose chain, handsome or not, it would most likely just come across as a someone trying too hard to be different. There's a discernible difference between style and desperation.

    This is true.

An unexpected smile when you need one is like being bathed in a mixture of benevolence, gold dust and finely-crushed pharmaceutical-grade cocaine.

So, for all of you who need it today... : )

Fair enough- an urban person wearing unrelated tribal piercings will assumed as poser ^^
But to me personally, I still give him/her pass if they look cute with it.
