    Feminine gay guys?

Are there any guys who like or don't mind a feminine gay guy? Whenever it comes to topics like this, i mostly see that a lot despise men who are more on the fem side which, yeah, I get we all have preferences but it does suck at times... lol

I mean, I'm not going to lie, I do have my fem traits. I am sensitive and try to be mindful of other peoples' feelings. I can be shy... I do like some fashion even though it's mostly in alternative styles like Goth, Punk, etc. I do like to cook. And I like having a smaller body. Hell, in a relationship, I feel I would be more of the "submissive" one. But I do have my other traits. I like fighting (Kickboxing, TaeKwonDoe), I don't mind getting dirty, I prefer rock over pop, and I would play a sport

It just seems like the only guys who seem interested at times are older men which isn't a bad thing but at 22, I'd like to find a guy around my age...

Anyway, any thoughts/opinions would be really appreciated.

I hope I don't offend. I don't mean to. But I am one that doesn't find effeminate men sexually attractive. But each his his own style and manner. If we were all the same it would be boring.

Yeah, I've heard that but the thing is, speaking for myself... I could never pass as a "lady boy". lol I don't want to wear dresses or skirts or pantyhose and all that stuff. So I know I'd lose a chance...I'm more of an androgynous guy than a lady boy haha.

You aren't offending. If you were, you would have said something rude but you didn't. You're just stating your preference which is fine.

They are sexual zeroes, unless they're gorgeous in every other respect. Even then, it's best to keep their speech apparatus buried in a pillow.

Legit feminine/androgynous guys are awesome! And by "legit" I mean non-camp, which is what people usually think of when a male is referred to as fem. Not that there's anything wrong with camp people. It's annoying when people assume I'm limp-wristed, roll my eyes every 5 seconds and talk with a lisp; those aren't traits I consider feminine!

As a bottom, if I had to choose between topping a girl or a feminine guy, I'd probably choose the guy. We are usually abit more creative with our appearance and clothing, which is something I consider awesome! And I think the "rarity" of an openly feminine male makes us seen as a bit exotic. Though I feel women are more appreciative of feminine men(both platonically and romantically)than most guys, straight or gay.

I think a lot of men do like feminine guys, but NATURALLY feminine guys, not queeny guys if you know what I mean. So I definitely agree with YourBoyToy. I think usually when somebody thinks about a fem guy, they usually think about the over the top queens who act like divas that you find at the club, and those are super annoying to almost everyone I think. But a naturally feminine guy I think it's very appealing to some.

Whatever distinction you're trying to make here doesn't come across. A "feminine" guy is fem to everyone, no matter what. Doesn't matter if it's "natural", androgyny, camp, or queeny. To most people, they're still fem and still probably feel the same way about them.

I understand where you are coming from. Speaking for myself, it's NOT an act. I don't act super campy/diva but I am soft spoken and when someone talks to me, I know for a fact that they either know or suspect that I am gay.

He's somewhat right. I'm naturally fem. Not flamboyant or campy acting but soft, sensitive, and I do have a pretty eclectic personal style. I'm pretty sure when guys see me, they'll automatically assume I'll be super bitchy and catty and talk with a heavy lisp but are surprised when I don't. But I've been in catch 22's where I'm either too feminine for some or not feminine enough. It's a lose lose situation but I'm not going to change who I am. I know one day I'll find a guy who will like me as I am and vice versa.

Not really since being feminine (or masculine) doesn't mean the same for everyone. There's a wide range of behaviors and traits that define femininity and masculinity for each individual, and depending on the importance that every one of those behaviors or traits has for you, then you perceive a person to be more masculine or more feminine. For example: A guy who is very soft and delicate in his demeanor but talks like a man, is way more appealing (and masculine) to me than a guy who talks with a lisp and acts like a "bad bitch" who is tough. Yet both display behaviors that are stereotypically considered feminine.

I wouldn't consider myself to be exceptionally camp, but I am genderless. This is mostly perceived as "fem" and quite often, for arguments' sake, that's what I'll say. I tend to go for ladieswear because it fits by slim frame batter, but I don't consider myself to be CD/TV. I wear a good amount of makeup on occasion because I like the way it looks. I'm definitely alternative, which helps because it pulls the whole thing into a 'look'.

    But then, I'm top.

It is seriously the most awkward combination to find people to appreciate.

It does kind of suck when you manage to find a size XS shirt in the mens section and it's loose...
And leg-wear, pfffff. In the women's section a pair of size 0 jeans or shorts rarely give me a squeeze. Sometimes I even have to get 00 for slightly bigger made brands (like Aeropostale).

Depends. I only hook up via Grindr, I never try to just pick up guys on nights out because in my social circles I'm there to enjoy the company of my friends and nothing more. I find it hard to date, my last BF was very much like me and that worked. Grindr is simpler because I know I'm not going to need to be dressed up to express myself just to take it all off again. It's sex.

But relationships, yes, that's very difficult.

^I don't particularly give a damn whether it's socially acceptable or not. It's not my aim to be socially digestible. But when it affects me on a personal one-to-one level, I struggle to understand it. My image is an entirely organic mutation of my mind and my thoughts. It's just the tip of the iceberg, and what lies beneath is an artistically, politically and sociologically tumultuous psyche. I might express it through "fashion" and "beauty" but it definitely doesn't end there. So when I get guys who aren't into the "fem" type, yeah, it pisses me off, because I don't even see it that way and I certainly don't think it should matter.

XS in mens is hit or miss for me. The only time an XS has a nice fit for me are clothing from H&M. lol
As for the pants/jeans, I just like how flared or bootcut looks so that's why I get them lol

I don't like the "straight" actng term either. I wish the guys would just say "masculine" instead.

Same here dude. I don't think of it as trying to be something. It's just taking in all your favorite things and expressing them in your life if you choose to.

And yes, I feel that, depending on your location, it can be a bit hard in terms of a romantic life if you are even the slightest bit fem. But you just have to keep an optimistic mind to pull through or at least, that's what I do lol

It's that old stereotype that all "fem" guys are bitchy divas. That's the problem and I can understand gay guys wanting to stay clear of this type, I have met plenty and can't stand them either but most are obviously not like this.

I guess I am a fem (into fashion, grooming, slim, submissive etc) but that's me and to be honest I have met/dated plenty of guys who love that, including my boyfriend who is only 2 years older (I am 32) and the total opposite of me...Hang in there.

You're kind of right. Unfortunately, there are a few feminine type of guys who take on the bitchy/diva "Bow down to me" type of attitude and indeed, it can be a big turn off. But some of us who are more on the fem side are not like that at all. We're just a little more sensitive and whatnot lol

Hmm.. I have heard of this problem before. I honestly haven't done anything that involved penetration but I feel like I could be a versatile even though I am submissive in personality. But no, in the long run, I feel that a feminine guy can be a top just like how a masculine man (and quite many at that) can be bottoms.

Although I am a bottom, 99% of guys assume this about me. I can imagine this being frustrating, but then I am guilty of thinking the opposite...

All men have a feminine side, gay men more so. Many just won't go there because they've been socially conditioned not to.
