    Bed wetting?

Was anybody here a chronic bed wetter as a child? Or possibly into adolescence? Let me start by saying this isn't a sexual fetish thing for me, I was having this discussion at work the other week about the prevalence of bed wetting and people who's brains are wired for stress or socially introverted and I was just wondering if you guys would like to contribute your ideas/opinions and experiences on the subject.

I will start by saying, that I lean towards being socially introverted, but not so much highly strung (but a very organized person)and as a child I would wet the bed a few times a week until I was around the age of 5 and then continued to have the odd accident every couple of weeks up until the age of 7 or 8.

(I don't know if this thread has been done before or where it truely belongs. Sorry)

Stopped when I was about 4.

Nocturnal emissions were a real godsend though.

    Re: Bed wetting?

I was. I think until I was around 8 or 9. There were 5 boys in my family and I was the only one who "peed the bed" as my brothers called it. I remember the dream I always had when this happened. I would get out of bed and walk to the toilet and start pissing in the bowl. It was very vivid. Problem was, I was still in bed. I would try to hide it. I would go off to school and come home and find fresh sheets on my bed. My mom and dad never said a word to me about it. One of them would change my sheets when all the boys were out of the house. Early on they mysteriously put a plastic cover over my mattress under the sheets. Again, not a word about it. I loved them for not making an issue out of it especially not in front of my brothers.

I did until about the age of 5, there was quite a stigma attached to the act, threats of being made to wear a diaper, scolding and having my face rubbed in the wet bed.

I found myself as an adult to be socially awkward, an introvert.

    Re: Bed wetting?

I peed the bed a few times when I was a toddler. I wet the bed with cum a few times when I was a teen. So I guess I've done both.

Sorry to hear that. Do you feel that the stigma led to you being introverted or were you always that way.

I'm not saying that all people who are introverted (prefer their own company) are chronic bed wetters or were late to potty train. It was just a theory we were playing with.

Also I've never had a 'wet dream' so I can't comment on that.

I believe that we are born hard wired when it comes to things such as personality, sexuality and such. Our formative years and the treatment we receive as well as what we are taught have a huge impact on what we do with the equipment that we are born with.

Years ago when I was 13-14 I was in a boys school, I was past the stage of bed wetting. One boy wasn't, he was my age and wet nearly every night. The punishment for bedwetting was to wash your sheets and take a cold shower, we all slept in a dorm with about 20 boys in ours.

Washing sheets and the cold shower put the boy on display, we had some pretty mean kids in our cottage who were abusive towards the boy, punching him and making threats, I was a good talker, not yet one of the tuff kids, but I had some pull. I talked to the boys who ran the show and convinced them that it would frustrate the supervisors if we woke up the bed wetter when we got up to take a leak, they bought it and we started to get the kid up a few times a night.

This seemed to help his problem, he came to me and said that he couldn't believe that I did that for him, I could have gotten my ass kicked for taking his side.

I couldn't understand why I did it at the time, but looking back I knew it was because I had experienced pain over the issue and knew that it was not proper.

You sir have a kind soul that is an incredibly sweet and selfless thing for you to have done.

I went to an all boys boarding school for a few years also. same story, 20 boys to a room, but thankfully I never had any accidents while I was there.

Stop drinking liquids at least a couple of hours before bedtime. Go for a wee before bed. Wake and go for a wee instead of dreaming about going for a wee usually helps

Eat dinner earlier. Most dieticians say the evening meal should NOT be the biggest meal.

    Re: Bed wetting?

We moved when I was 4, 7, and 11. It affected me.
I was also a very sound sleeper.
The dream about going to the bathroom I believe was our mind trying to wake us up - unsuccessfully.

No, my brother didn't have the problem - he might have been part of the cause - adding stress to my already sensitive soul.

    Yeah, it was a bitch.

And, yes, stopping the fluid intake early helps a lot.

I go before I hit the hay, sleep for up to 6 hours and get up.
I was older than the ages listed above when I finally overcame my situation.

Brow beating is the worst thing you can do to someone with the problem.

And I know, if I'll only be true, to this glorious quest . . .

    Re: Bed wetting?

^I agree Don. Brow beating just exacerbates the stress and anxiety of bed wetting making it harder to sleep and when you finally do go to sleep your mind is too exhausted to recognize that you need to wake up to void you bladder.

On a happy side note though, no one ever really gave me a hard time about it, it was just something that I had to work on. I laugh about it now, I usually tell people that I was a bed wetter if they are feeling (for some stupid reason) intimidated by me.

    Re: Bed wetting?

I was never a bed wetter.

I did make my tighty whities cum-sticky with wet dreams as a teenager.

I am a light sleeper. As soon as I feel a full bladder, I wake up and go pee, no matter what time it is.

I have been known to wake up at 3, or 4, or 6, go pee, and then return to bed to sleep another three or four hours.

It used to drive Dave crazy, because once he was up, and he "drained the lizard," he'd be horny and want to fuck me. But I was back into a deep sleep!

    Re: Bed wetting?

I used to wet the bed regularly until the age of eight and I think this pretty normal. My parents didn't make a big deal of it but they weren't overjoyed either. I was completely dry until an isolated stress-induced bed wetting in my mid forties and have been dry since then. However I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has wet (or still wets) the bed in adult life.

    Re: Bed wetting?

My younger brother wet the bed on a daily basis. He just could not find a way to stop himself. Our parents even sought medical advise.

I do not recall at what age he was able to finally control himself.

Kinda' funny though because in our teen years we both discovered alcohol and pharmaceuticals yet even in a drunken stupor no bed wetting occurred.

I had the same damn dream, and I leak a bit. I then wake up immediately, and go to the toilet to pee. It is usually a big load. On the occasions when it happens, I guess my body was just too tired to listen to my bladder to wake up and pee.

I never really wet the bed after I was a baby...and for the discussion you were having....not at all socially inverted....I am definitely socially extroverted and easily talk to strangers.
