Nope. Dying to see it. I expect I'll enjoy it given the phenomenal cast. There's great source material to build upon too.

    ^I did as well.

I was sucked into the movie literally within the first five minutes. The opening had so much energy. The pacing was so intense that I was actually stressed out the entire time. I loved it and it is without a doubt the best one that they've made so far. I couldn't have asked for a better follow-up to First Class.

Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past

I'm a huge X-Men fan, been dying to see this one ESPECIALLY after hearing Bryan Singer would be back to film as X1 and X-Men 2 were my favorites of the franchise... but, they still are because I wasn't really impressed by Days of Future Past. It was good but it should've been Wolverine 3 or something as Logan was pretty much the "main" character.

Didn't see it yet, but this shouldn't be a surprise because 1) The first 2 films Bryan Singer made were pretty centric around him and 2) The story line to this clearly showed that he was the main part of it.

He was the main avenue for moving us through the story, but I felt like we actually spent most of the time on Professor X, Magneto, and Mystique and their dynamic and goals.

    ...aside from the glorious ass...

I was impressed, but, I wasn't overly so. It didn't go for any swerves like in The Wolverine(Silver Samurai still haunts me), and it was much better for it, and it seems like they're retconning some people that should be retconned. The pacing was solid, the action just so, but it felt... short to me. In all, of all of the new class of Xmen movies, it was the greatest of them, and, I can't wait to see Age Of Apocalypse.

It was amazing. I can't wait for more! It really made me hunger to get the entire '90s cartoon series on DVD.

The sentinels were amazing and quicksilver really suprised me. It's a shame they couldn't use northstar instead though as it would be insanely awesome to see a super cool superhero who is also gay

I enjoyed this but it did not explain the extra scene at the end of The Wolverine though.

Totally agree! Every time they cut back to the future team, I was immediately on edge. Overall I was thoroughly entertained. I've been an X-Men fan since I was like 6 with the 90s cartoon being the first thing to get me interested in them. To see that its done so well this weekend and that its getting great fan and critic reviews really warms my heart that people are still enjoying the franchise

Re: X-Men: Days of Future Past

    [Slightly spoilerly]

Oh wow. Guess I'll be the one who breaks the trend here, but... I wasn't very impressed. Yeah, it was better than First Class, though that's not really hard to do. I didn't care for Mystique getting this major bump in the plot - her makeup looked wet and gross and Jennifer Lawrence sucks as Mystique (enjoy her in Hunger Games and other projects, just not this).

The only parts I REALLY enjoyed were the Present/Future X-Men (I'm so bored of the Past cast except Fassbender, he and McKellen make great Magnetos) and Pietro-- I'm sorry, "Peter's" kitchen scene. Everything else was pretty meh. And I wasn't happy with Hank "hulking out" into his beast form. Lame. But it's Bryan Singer so yeah. Loads better than Last Stand though.
