    Don't take this thread seriously

People get so up tight over how their threads are received. It can lead to drama.

So I just want to assure everyone I don't want this thread taken seriously.

    Carry on.

"Thirty-one* states allow all qualified citizens to carry concealed weapons. In those states, homosexuals should embark on organized efforts to become comfortable with guns, learn to use them safely and carry them. They should set up Pink Pistols task forces, sponsor shooting courses and help homosexuals get licensed to carry. And they should do it in a way that gets as much publicity as possible. "

No. That would mean taking you seriously, which is even harder to do than taking this thread seriously.

    This statement is a lie.
Americans need to keep their guns so they can protect themselves from gun violence just like Nancy Lanza did. And like Chris Kyle did. And like Gabby Giffords did. And like Tom Clements did. And like Michael Piemonte.

And I hope you recognize my post as a parody identical to the subject lampooned in Posts #3 and #6.

Satire. Hard to get on the web without vocal inflections.

    It is a direct quote.
There are TWO kinds of people in the world -- the kind who believe there are two kinds of people, and the kind who don't.

This is exactly the kind of offensive, hateful thread I would expect from a lying, unfaithful bisexual.
Recently I heard a 'wise guy' story that I had a party at my home for twenty-five men. It's an interesting story, but I don't know twenty-five men I'd want to invite to a party. ~Joan Crawford

One has to have more than a few diminishing strands of hair to start that effect.

I'm lying -- lying down, anyway.

Actually I'm procrastinating changing the sheets on my bed. I'm supposed to change them every two or three days until the incision is fully healed.

In those states, homosexuals should embark on organized efforts to become comfortable with guns, learn to use them safely and carry them. I could go to the deli, but I wouldn't be able to bring anything back, on these crutches, so what's the point?

In those states, homosexuals should embark on organized efforts to become comfortable with guns, learn to use them safely and carry them. They should set up Pink Pistols task forces, sponsor shooting courses and help homosexuals get licensed to carry. And they should do it in a way that gets as much publicity as possible. "

Oh, frak -- should I have written that? It sounds serious?

Is the objective not to take it seriously or not to take it solemnly?
