This almost sounds like a joke, but GWB has taken up painting. He claims he picked up a brush for the first time just recently. Actually, he's quite good for an amateur. Let the psychoanalysis begin!

Never has a doubt this guy was mentally unstable--as was his whole delusional criminal crew of cheney, rumsfield, wolfewitz, rice---and this is further proof---this is what ran this country for 8 years---and we criticize 3rd world countries.

It's surprisingly good -- much better than I would have expected from someone who was far better at splitting firewood than being President.

There's something about it, and his comments on it, that suggests to me that he really was the puppet he so often appeared to be.

"Thirty-one* states allow all qualified citizens to carry concealed weapons. In those states, homosexuals should embark on organized efforts to become comfortable with guns, learn to use them safely and carry them. They should set up Pink Pistols task forces, sponsor shooting courses and help homosexuals get licensed to carry. And they should do it in a way that gets as much publicity as possible. "

I'm kinda impressed. Some of those were very good. Others not so much.

Not sure why this is satire though, it reaffirms all the old rumors about who actually ran the country.

Many former leaders in retirement have praised the benefits they experienced when painting...Winston Churchill used his painting, and writing skills to cope with his chronic depression.....perhaps, after reading Churchill's words, George W. felt he needed to deal with his ever present demons...portraits on canvas speak as much to the artist's face, to face impression of the person they recall, as they do of the person whom we get to know through news reports....I believe that George W. should feel satisfied with his hobby...

    ANECDOTE ALERT:

Cartoon: young child to his mother: "Mommy - who's going to run the country if something happens to Mr. Cheney?"

Mr. Bush has finally found his calling - but 20 years too late.
I'm surprised he didn't use crayons!

Ugh, I really didn't want to see this. I don't like the colours he uses on faces. Why does Blair look like Putin?

Why is it embarrassing? Are you claiming to be better?

He can simply use the blood from dead troops and Iraqs for the red in his paintings.

It should not be overlooked that for many people dealing with their personal demons (a recovering alcoholic in this case) painting is therapeutic...with Winston Churchill coping with his chronic depression by painting, and writing....George W. has clearly expressed his impression of various world leaders through portraits that speak to his face, to face experiences......personal impressions are just that...not masterpieces calculated to attract praise for their artistic merit.

How dare you speak that way about our former president and his henchmen! They brought freedom and democracy to Iraq.

They're actually pretty decent with a unique style. I can see them becoming very valuable in years to come. Not necessarily for the quality of art, but rather you have a former President who can decently paint heads of state. His Putin is actually ominous to his own previous words and where we are today with Russia.
