Former First Lady Barbara Bush hospitalized

Barbara Bush, the former First Lady of the United States, wife of former President George HW Bush and mother to former President George W Bush is in a Houston hospital for treatment of a respiratory-related issue.

Mrs Bush has been hospitalized frequently in the past. She was diagnosed in 1988 with an autoimmune disease...Graves Disease..... that affects the thyroid gland. In 2008 she had surgery for a perforated ulcer and 2009 she underwent heart surgery. And all this before the evils of Obamacare kicked in! I hope she didn't worry about the massive hospital and doctor bills that arrived in her mailbox.

Mrs Bush is known not only for being the spouse and mother of two Presidents of the United States, but for her compassion. She found the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy.

Thoughtful of returning soldiers, she commented: "Why should we hear about body bags and deaths? It's not relevant. Why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?"

Compassionate for hurricane Katrina victims housed in the Astrodome, she remarked many of the victims were underprivileged anyway, so this is working out very well for them. Also regarding Katrina, she welcomed the resettling refugees with "Almost everyone I've talked to said we're going to move to Houston. What I'm hearing, which is sort of scary, is they all want to stay in Texas."

However, when asked if her son Jeb should run for President in 2016, she replied "we’ve had enough Bushes.”. We couldn't agree more, Mrs Bush!

We wish you well and a speedy recovery Mrs Bush!

Wonder how embarrassed she was with the rest of her family?

Son Neil, who cost the American taxpayers $1 billion after some shady loans he made caused the Silverado Savings and Loan to go under in 1988. Also his extra marital cheating and his contacting a strange STD from Asian prostitutes.

Son George W: AWOL, drunk, druggie

    Son Jeb... read here:

    http://web.archive.org/web/200308100...mi/4221945.htm

Daughter in law Columba: jewelry smuggler

Father in Law Prescott and his ties with Hitler:

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/2003/10...funded-hitler/

And I won't mention the Bush family's ties with the bin Laden family.

No wonder she's wearing out. Unfortunately her womb hosted more criminals than anyone in modern history, the poor woman can't catch a break.

    I still wish her well.

She made pearls popular for awhile... couldn't sell them for shit until she did. I thank her for that.

...and...I wish her a speedy recovery.

And she's probably the best of the bunch.

"Thirty-one* states allow all qualified citizens to carry concealed weapons. In those states, homosexuals should embark on organized efforts to become comfortable with guns, learn to use them safely and carry them. They should set up Pink Pistols task forces, sponsor shooting courses and help homosexuals get licensed to carry. And they should do it in a way that gets as much publicity as possible. "

Was it something inside her uterus that produced the mess they made? The woman is as cold and unbending as hell.

I never thought about choosing her for the death poll for 2014...although like Cheney, she'll probably just pack her coffin with earth and move on to the next century.....

These remarks you attribute to Mrs. Bush are parsed from an interview that took place on March 17, 2003.

From what war were the soldiers returning on that particular date?

Mrs. Bush’s point that news of that moment was much more about what would or might happen rather than what was happening was valid. Her comment was not meant as a dismissal of actual deaths or suffering (troops had not yet been engaged at the time of her remark), but of news coverage that amounted to one expert after another making predictions about what they saw as likely to occur.

[Mrs. Bush and her husband, former president George Bush] were accompanied by former president Bill Clinton and his wife, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. The visit was intended as a bipartisan show of support for victims and as a forum for announcing the creation of the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund, a charitable endeavor aimed as facilitating short and long term relief efforts in the afflicted Gulf Coast states.

… Scott McClellan, White House Press Secretary, said of Mrs. Bush’s pronouncement: “I think she was making a personal observation on some of the comments that people were making that she was running into.”

Regardless of the disparaging innuendo present in this thread’s opening post and subsequent overt condemnation of the former first lady, I am happy to recognize that Barbara Bush has demonstrated a spirit of bipartisanship and a sincere desire to work with the Clintons and others across the political spectrum to help dispel hardships that are often exacerbated by some elements within our society that seem relentlessly occupied in pursuing matters of political brinksmanship.

There were no body bags and death at that point, so what she was objecting to was all the talk of hypothetical ones.

Here's a photo of President Obama and SOS Clinton meeting the bodies of 4 murdered Americans. Both Obama and Clinton said they would get to the bottom of what happened -- but were blaming a video that very few had seen for the killing. They promised the families that they would not forget them and have yet to call or write them.

Barbara Bush did not run hold any office.

OMFG.... there we go again with the 4 dead Americans battle cry.....

When you can't think of anything to say, shout BENGHAZI!---4 DEAD AMERICANS!!

Let's be fair-- Barbara Bush's comments held a very marked disregard for the importance of thinking about things like American casualties as a result of American foreign policy. The same disregard she evinced in her comments about victims of Hurricane Katrina. She may not have been talking about bodies that were actually coming off of planes yet from the Middle East, but I don't see that as fundamentally improving what she said, which was essentially that she didn't care and didn't think it was worth thinking about.

She realized that none of her family or friends would be involved in an illegal invasion of a sovereign nation under false pretenses.

    Oh wait....

At least none of her family or friends would return in a body bag, just be responsible for those returning in body bags.

It's the callousness of her comments that sparked outrage. Dismissing the fact that her sons decision could and did kill thousands of Americans so arrogantly.

....? The Obamas have made comments about how they don't care about victims of disasters or casualties of wars and don't want to waste their "beautiful minds" on such things?

If you could just put a light bulb over every gay person’s head, people would see just how well-lit their streets and cities are.

Presidents Obama and Clinton illegally invaded Iraq, smuggled jewelry into the country, contacted STDs from Asian prostitutes, brought down Silverado Savings and Loan, and didn't want to waste their beautiful minds on bodybags?

Trying to change the topic with your BENGHAZI! battle cry is juvenile Springer. If you don't have anything to add to the topic then please find something else to do.

The chap is so obsessed with me it's scary. He hangs on every word I say and feels the need to comment. If it were anyone else I'd be flattered.

Neither Obama or Clinton will talk about Benghazi. They won't even talk the families and tell them how their loved ones died.

I still don't see how JUB Administration allows such a blatant baiting thread to exist.
