|Jesus often spoke to the hypocrisy of those who made public demonstrations of their dedication to the laws of Moses, while privately living a life in direct opposition to the image they declare to the world.
My observations over many years has established that religion has a spectrum between, at one end those who equate it with a club to which the elect belong, and others are excluded for demonstrating their very human frailties, to the other where it is about tolerance, love, and respect by those who publicly acknowledge their own failings, reflected in the lives of those whom they choose to respect.
Atheism has its own spectrum between fanatics, spending their life condemning, and abusing theists, and a sect practising true humanism, respect, and tolerance for those who practise similar values in the name of religious conviction....
...whereas, the fanatics of all persuasions fret, and chafe while the rest of the world looks on in disbelief, while going about their daily life, free from fanatical beliefs that labels them religious, or atheist, or even indifferent the religion of the couldn't care less denomination who may represent the majority of the human race content to survive another day free from dependency on fanatical beliefs.
The One whose birth we celebrate today, the 25th December made his beliefs crystal clear, when asking all of us to love, one another as He continues to love us.....that's a challenge much too simple, for those theists, and atheists determined to prove their religious dedication to fanaticism the religion of the holier, than thou.
