The Louisiana swamps are a good distance from us but that is getting too close to home for my tastes. Something HAS to be done about these oil companies. If the pipeline from Canada gets finished I just know that a spill will happen over our water supply. We just got the lake we use for water filled from all the rain this year. That's more than we have had in years. It will not be close to the pipeline but that other aquifer where it will pass supplies millions of Americans their water in several States. Enough!

BP and Chevron are accused of dumping toxic radioactive waste into the swamps of Louisiana
Think Progress reports that BP and Chevron have been illegally dumping toxic waste, including radioactive waste, into the waters of Louisiana.
This is just outrageous. The fossil fuel industry has zero regard for the American people. I hope the parish wins and wins big.
The Louisiana parish of Plaquemines is taking on a group of oil and gas giants including BP and Chevron for allegedly dumping toxic waste — some of it radioactive — from their drilling operations into its coastal waters, according to a lawsuit removed to federal court on Thursday.
A great parody of BP's ad campaign since the Deep Water Horizon catastrophe.
