Security service says gun laws create crime!

A local home security service here in Colorado is running a radio commercial that says you need to buy their service because Colorado just passed new restrictive gun laws and that areas with strict gun laws have the highest crime rates. They also throw in some scare stories about kids being kidnapped from their bedrooms.

Fair enough. Here in Australia, where the gun laws are very tight, most kids get kidnapped a few times a year. It's perfectly logical that with less guns in the mix, criminals are free to kidnap as many kids as they want.

All the kids I knew growing up who's parents didn't own guns were kidnapped on a weekly basis so Aussieville sounds quite heavenly. The kidnappers swear it builds character in the kids though.

It's called "reading between the lines". It's the equivalent of a vegan restaurant saying: "all meat is poisoned by fascists so you should eat at our restaurant!".

Got a link? I can't find anything on this.

"Thirty-one* states allow all qualified citizens to carry concealed weapons. In those states, homosexuals should embark on organized efforts to become comfortable with guns, learn to use them safely and carry them. They should set up Pink Pistols task forces, sponsor shooting courses and help homosexuals get licensed to carry. And they should do it in a way that gets as much publicity as possible. "

Its a radio ad being run by a home security service in Colorado Springs. I'll have to listen to hear it again and get the name so I can run down their web site.
