Hit on in a Straight place?

As the title suggests, I'm wondering if it's a common occurrence.

I've been hit on quite a few times in straight clubs but today was one which caught me by absolute surprise. This being Singapore, yet I knew that the brazen act the guy did was a normal thing to him. I was with two other friends and I was so close to kissing him and almost had a hardon (phew)! His line was "You are a beautiful boy." I melted! Too bad his timing wasn't right enough for me to go home with him.

Yes, I've been hit on in supposedly straight bars. Also at office functions and even at holiday parties. Often by married men with their wives in attendance. Any port in a storm, I suppose. I think there are a lot of guys with bi tendencies who want to act on their curiosity... and maybe the closest they'll get is to flirt with a gay man in a public setting. There is an element of risk but they know things will only go so far.

Oddly enough, I got chewed out by a guy at my store for the exact same reason. My manager and I were following this straight couple we suspected were shoplifting in my store. They come up to my register from opposite ends, and the guy starts telling me to stop looking at his girl.

I told the morning cashier, when she came to relive me at the end of my shift. It was all she could do to not die laughing. She's like, "You don't even like girls, do you?" I'm like, "No, not really."

I'm 53... I have only ever been 'hit on' in a 'straight place' ... in fact, if t'werent for 'straight places'™ I expect I would still be a virgin.

PS .... to clarify ...most of the guys who 'hit on' me in a 'straight place' were fag-tastically gay!

I think a former bartender at one of my hangouts liked me... he was a cute skinny geeky twink. He was quite shy, but he was very nice. Just my type
I'm not sure if he quit or got fired, but he didn't work there very long. In the short time he did, we started getting very friendly with eachother, and when he wasn't busy, he'd come over and talk to me

Yes, particularly in straight sports bars. Have been hit on by guys as well as straight couples looking for a 3-some.
