What is the significance of your screen name on JUB?
What is the significance of your screen name on JUB?
I love hens and chickens.
My favourite animals.
It's a combination of my favorite TV show and favorite band.
My name is Bill, well William. Bill was taken as was ibill sooooooooooo ibill1. By the way, you ask the question but don't answer it yourself. That's odd.
Mine is the initials of a Sims website I used to run a long time ago. I used to design clothing and items for the game specifically for gay characters and households. I had considered changing it until I noticed that it could be pronounced 'jizz dicks'.
Most people here know me by my real name, though: Neil
My original name here was sausageater, but since that was a mouthful and plus we virtually ALL are sausageaters here, just didn't pop in any way. So I capitalized the s and changed it to Sausy, a play on my username and having a playful, "saucy" persona! Ironically, a few do call me "Saucy" here but I don't mind at all... means it's workin'!
Hardup, thats you? I didnt know it was you.
I had no name so I just used my initial M and added 1000 to it to be M1000.
When I sign up for a website and the name is taken, I use m1thousand, or M10000 . . which I have both used here because M1000 was not availble
I found out from the Today show that M1000 is a type of firework.
I also use Maceasar because I know no one will use that name. Someone use to call me Marcus Aurelius and I created that name based on that.
Im also DotComGuy and in retrospect, I might have chosen that name as my internet name after the dot com companies fell.
Im also JoeMattress on Youtube, after artist Joe Average
Topher (short for Christopher) followed by GF (short for Great Falls, the city I was living in when I joined the first time. It is a testament to my lack of imagination. The fact that I kept it after re-creating my account is further testament to my continued lack of imagination. It has nothing to do with the actor who was on That 70's show except in a roundabout way...
Bastardized version of a lyric quote from Otep Shamaya. That, as luck would have it, I got wrong.
"There’s death on the horizon,
and I’ll run to behold your sacrifice..."
I'm the sixth of nine sons.
Everyone wants to be heard. No one wants to listen.
I always pick a cartoon character as my screen-name on messageboards. So it made sense to pick a gay character for JUB. "Lexington" was taken so I added G, for either "gay" or "gargoyle".
2 of a few favorite Daft Punk songs. Make Love and Digital Love combined.
its my initials...FP plus the state I live in...NY. hence...FPNY annoying JUBBERs for a long long time....
FPNYAnnoying JUBBERS since 2003
Oakpope is the name of my world of warcraft main character.
Initially I wanted to go with my usual, at the time, cyberpape, but I thought 'cyber' was not very appropriate for a fantasy setting.
As my character is an elf, I thought about something linked to nature and Oak popped in mind. Voilà
Why cyberpape ? It's my avatar, a character in a role playing game named TORG, where the Cyberpape is a French mad man ascending to the Papacy in another dimension and through a complicated story merged with an advanced technological world to become a cyberpope.
Very straightforward as you can see
Cityboy because camping is Holiday Inn with no free breakfast and a float trip is Royal Caribbean. STL...should be obvious.
"Gelo" is my nickname in my hometown, "ge" are my surnames initials. Not very imaginative either.
^Another kicking English grammar post
Jay Hawk because it is a play on my actual name, plus when I originally moved out here I lived in Kansas and there are JayHawks there as the mascot of the University of Kansas (which was also where I spent a lot of time during the first two years out here)
Finally, i love deeper meanings.... like my previous name was Mazda and Mazda was chosen by that company because it stands for wisdom. Well the JayHawk is a mystical bird beloved by the Kanza Indians. The Kansas (Kanza) river joins the Missouri River at Kaw Point. That was also where the main village of Kanzas was located (although their territory was vast). The story goes that Kaw point was lonley and cried out to the spirits. The mythical bird Jayhawk heard the call and flew down to lie with Kaw point and make noise thereby attracting the native Americans to the location.
Another myth of this great bird is that which is captured in writing by John J Ingalls :
Every nation has its myths, human and animal, and they are accepted as facts. Poetry decorates them with its varnish, orators cover them with a rhetorical veneer, and they are incorporated into the literature of the country. There was an epoch when the Jayhawk flew in our troubled atmosphere. It was a bird with a mission. It was an early bird and it caught many a Missouri worm. It did not allow salt to be put on its tail."
SO in both legends, I flew in here to lay down roots and start a new career and part of my daily mission is to recruit folks from both Missouri and Kansas for the Navy.... (catching Missouri worms) and the saying concerning Salt on the tail means I cannot be caught....
So I am either quite well researched when i chose a name or it is a wonderful coincidence..... meh
besides from being pretty ...which I am.
my name is not pete.
but they sounded good together.
^ It's an excellent username and I've always liked the capitalized P's and T's.
Adrock is the nickname of Adam Horovitz from the band Beastie Boys and a few film/tv roles. I've always had a crush on him. I added JD a couple months later because my original username was JDsmagik 2006-2009 and a lot of members still called me JD after the username change. Before that I was JamesDeanJr back in 2005.
guess my name might seem to speak for it's self, I have fetish... but only in my fantasies. I also engage in some piss play in the shower.
To go a little deeper the name reflects my desire to submit and be humiliated, or at least a fantasy to do so.
When I joined JUB I had an interest in the fetish forum, the name seemed to fit, then I started to visit hot topics and spend most of my time in JUB land here.
I have thought of changing the name and maybe my avatar, what do you guys think?
I lived for 20+ years in Michigan's Upper Peninsula (the U.P.).
People from the Lower Peninsula are Trolls (because they live below the bridge...).
herry is after a teddy bear. And he's called Herry because I bought him from English Heritage. Why I'm not heri1 I don't know
I have graded for a 2nd Dan, so I have a black belt, and I have always loved ninjas.
mine is a childhood nickname and where I'm at
Mine is a nickname since I was born. And no my first name is not William.
Ronboy is a variation of "John Boy" as in "The Walton's" TV show.
I came up with it because I love to write.
Ron is not my real first name, but it has been my screen name for so long, that I identify with it as much as I do my own name.
The Three Musketeers... Bashful, Chrisglass, and Ronboy!
I'm a guy from Saskatchewan
Yes, my screen name isn't very original
Steinbeck is my favorite author...EastofEden is my favorite book...and I pretty much love all of the places Steinbeck writes about and spend much of my time there.
When I was about 12 or so, my brother, with whom I had my first gay experience, told me that he wanted me to be his sidekick. It stuck with me ever since. And 1914 is the address of our house where we lived when it happened.

When I first got online it was the most romantic thing I could think of to use as my AOL username. When I signed up here I decided to use it since I no longer used it on AOL.
I couldn't get my mind off you all day.
because i'm an exile on the run.
one thing about the closet/you don't have to hurry/it will be bad tomorrow/so brother, don't you worry
I'm going to have to make you guess.
ravenstar is a play on a character name from a fantasy series - in other words I got it wrong - that I've been using since I first arrived on the internet.
CGY is abbreviation for Calgary AB (not airport code btw) and that's where I was when I first set up account.
Mine's an Anglicised version of the well-known French phrase un l'eau don moi.
I'm constantly rising from the ashes of former lives.
Oooh, you're so respectable/Mmmm, but I'm an animal
Well, I'm an aviation enthusiast and my favorite military aircraft is the F-16 Falcon although the raptor of the same name is pretty cool too.
Mine is one of our call-signs,when you are doing an out of hours shift.Visiting patients in their homes during the night.
I chose "The Fly" because I had been here for 5-6 years, sorta like "The Fly" on the wall so to speak.
I actually have no idea why I chose my screen name. The only thing I know is that it is a magic from the game Chrono Cross and I quite like it. People often affiliate it with the novel and/or movie by the same name but it's not the case
come now, my child. if we were planning to harm you, do you think
we'd be lurking here beside the path in the darkest part of the forest?
My first username was Nameless, because I couldnt think of anything interesting and was being a little depressive at the time.
Then Lefty, without knowing where in the bloody hell I came from started calling me taz divil.
At first I thought he was some kind of internet stalker, but after making sure that no information I had shared could lead back to my real identity (I was still in the closet when I joined) I started talking with him and befriended him as well as a host of other jubbers. I then revealed that I did actually come from Tasmania, and asked a mod to change my name.
It seems like it was meant to be, and I'm still grateful to Lefty from grabbing my E-hand and pulling me out of hiding.
You show courage the brave dream of
Gallop on my old warhorse
^Yep he was a master of words and impromptu poetry infused with his own brand of humour....kinda like a special blend of tea. But he loved coffeeeeeeeeeeeee
oops too many eeeeeeeeeee's
Australians in general seem to be obsessed with the informality and friendly affection of nicknames. Adding an 'O' to the end is very common (Stevo, Robbo, Ando), but I was more often called Andy or Anders growing up. Short for Andrew, of course.
I prefer Anders as it also works as a contraction of my first and last name. I added the 123 on JUB because 'Anders' was already taken (and also because I lack any sort of creativity). I've contacted the mods about removing the numbers, but even though the other account has been inactive for many years, I was told they didn't have the means to remove it altogether. I do wonder though if they could simply change the username of that other account to something else instead. If nobody is using it and they would have deleted it entirely if they could, perhaps changing it's name to something else so that I can take it is a viable alternative.
Mods, get at me.
Kallipolis is taken from Plato's "Republic" - the ideal life, also the name of my neighbourhood in Piraeus, literally translated into English "good/attractive community, or good/attractive town."
