American interventionism is Syria
This article from the Washington Post is fascinating.
Apparently, the CIA has been providing training, logistic support and weapons to the Syrian rebels, but the massive support that Assad has gotten from both his countrymen and other governments, has prevented a greater degree of political and military infiltration. The situation has gotten so out of control for Assad's opponents, that they have been reduced to negotiating a truce. Still, the CIA claims to lack the resources necessary to increase its training program, and can only provide a few hundred soldiers per month to the "democratizing" rebel forces - much to the indignation of several members of Congress.
Could this be a sign of a much worse offensive being prepared by the CIA, which does not have any other option but to admit to its intrigues in the Middle East? I strongly think so.
